“AWESOME!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2009

This resort was worth it all... anyone who said that they had a terrible experience didn't stay here. The people were so nice and helpful, the location was great- (shopping at the Summit)- and the spa was spectatular and to top it off, they have valet parking (great for help with all of the shopping bags) It was unbelieveable and we are planning a girls' trip once a year just to visit the spa again! ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! P.S. We went to a concert in Birmingham and it was not a bad drive...

I have stayed here twice on business. It is a first class resort that leaves you thinking, "Wow! Alabama has a place like this?" It is really sharp. All Alabamians can be proud of this place. Of course, there is a first class golf course to boot. The only downside is you have to go several miles for quality restaurants off property. They have a restaurant on property that I am sure is good (but I never tried it).

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights while he was working close by. The resort is beautiful, like an English castle on the outside. The room was very nice, we had a balcony over looking the golf course. Clean updated bathroom. Starbucks in the lobby, which was nice. The pool area was very spacious, good for children but also places to relax. Well equipped workout room. No concierge lounge, however, if you are a Mariott member. Kind of a bummer!

  • Liked — pool area
  • Disliked — far from other areas of town

Excellent service and amenities. An especially great deal if you can secure a government/military rate of ~$120/night. Golf course is superb.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2008

This was my 3rd stay at Ross Bridge Renaissance Resort. Unfortunately, the third time was not a charm. Our first stay was right after the resort first opened. Everything was nice and new. The second stay presented with black, dirty grout between tiles of shower floor and an awful mildew smell that remained in room throughout the stay. This stay was even worse. At first glance, everything seemed nice and up to 4 star standards. Nicely appointed furnishings, fluffy comfortable mattress, granite countertops. Unfortunately, my opinion soon changed. Curtains in room were visibly dirty with some unknown substance all over the lower half. Corners of comforter inside duvet were filthy with dirt and some pinkish red substance (only God knows what). Grout in shower floor still black and needed cleaning. Didn't have the awful mildew smell this time. However, at $250.00 per night, I definitely expect a room that is at least, CLEAN! Especially no visible, easily noticeable dirt. You can't tell me that housekeeping has not noticed these things. This was a big let down because I use to love this resort. The spa is still wonderful and according to my husband, so is the pga golf course. The staff is also great. Davida, at front desk, and Cindy, the manicurist, both provided 5 star service. Ross Bridge Renaissance, please fix these cleaning (health) issues!!!!!!!! I'm not ready to end our relationship just yet!!!

My husband and I spent one night at Ross Bridge. The room was very clean and nice. We never heard any noise from the hall or other rooms. We also had a fabulous dinner at Brock's inside the hotel. I would love to stay here again.
