“Excellent Get Away!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

In celebration of our anniversary, a 3 night stay at Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort was planned! What a treat! We arrived only moments prior to an appointment at the Spa. A kind gentleman transported our bags to our room while we rushed downstairs to the spa. He reassured us "I'll take good care of everything"! And he did.
The Spa is wonderful. Far and above the usual for a hotel! I want to return just to spend a day at the Spa! The pool area looked very inviting - LARGE - and with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. For kids, there was a play area at the pool, including fountains and a beach entry (no steps)!
When we got to the room, it was on the back side of the complex, facing the golf course. Here we found the ONLY issue of our stay. The delivery trucks arrive beginning at 6:00a.m. in the morning! And with each one of them backing into the loading area... the beep...beep....beep was definitely enough to awaken you. So much for sleeping in.
The room had a small balcony where we enjoyed afternoon appetizers from room service. OK food - and the price was reasonable for room service.
Huge compliments to Richard who delivered our room service. After our sharing that we were celebrating an anniversary, he returned to our room with free cookies and a nice note of congratulations! Special service!
The breakfast buffet was included with our stay daily. The usual breakfast items for an upscale buffett. The first morning the quantity was small to none of the fresh fruit. I don't think they had expected so many people on that day. Also, the lady making omelets seemed inexperienced. Neither of us ate the omelet. On the next 2 days, the buffett was well stocked and the gentleman working the omelet station was great!
Valet parking was a little pricy but the service was excellent.
I would highly recommend Ross Bridge and I look forward to returning soon!

Room Tip: Rooms at back of resort are above loading dock. Early morning deliveries will awaken you!

We couldn't have been happier with the hotel, staff, services and surroundings. Truly a picture perfect backdrop right down to the bagpipes at sunset.

This is a wonderful hotel. If you are a golfer, Ross Bridge is one of the most beautiful courses on the trail. Hotel has great amenities. Rooms are very nice. Food is ok as well.

Resort was okay, starting to look dated. One thing is for sure, every location needs to hire help. From the front desk, valet parking, bar and restaurant. All seemed short handed. The worst experience was the Club House Grill. From the time we got there till be received our food, we were there 2 1/2 hours. After being told a 15 min wait, it was 1 hour. After being seated, it took 25 min. just to run someone down to take our drink order. We saw our waitress once and that's when she took our order. Needless to say, it was the worst food, we had ever received. After all of this I was pretty pissed off. I ask to see the manager, which offered us dessert. I told her no, I just wanted to leave. There were 6 of us and 1 person could eat what they were served. I showed the manager all the food that we were sending back and told her why. 5 plates had 1 bite ate off of them. She refused to deduct those plates off but gave me a managers"discount". So, I walked out with a bill of $115.00 for food we could not eat. CAUTION: DO NOT waste your time and money there.

When you first approach this resort, you get a feeling of grandeur. It's a very large a rambling facility located on a golf course. Pool and terrace are very nice. Rooms need more cleanup to make a 5 star for me.

Signs of touch paint needed all around the property. Base of toilet at the floor had a very nasty appearance. Beds were comfortable.

Location is very strange. Kind of off the beaten path.

We had a lot of fun last time we went from the arcade to the waterslide and the nice golf course. We are going again this weekend! I recommend this as a fun family vacation. :)

This hotel is so beautiful. The staff is very nice. The spa is incredible. Just make sure if you are booking a spa appointment you are booking early in the day because you can use the spa facilities all day the day of your service. There is a beautiful quiet room for resting and reading, a steam shower, some showers with aveda products for you to use and personal attendants. You can order glasses of wine in this room and the staff is incredible. However, if you book a massage at 4pm that lasts one hour you cannot use these facilities unless you come early. So book early in the day so you can relax at your leisure. According to my husband the golf course is incredible and one of the best he has played. There is a park in the Ross Bridge community which my son loved. Have a great time at Ross Bridge.
