Description: Shula’s Steak House is the classic American steakhouse: a fine dining white tablecloth restaurant. In order to be the best steak house, Don Shula followed the same principles that made him the winningest coach in football history - select the best talent available and give them the resources they need to succeed. In the restaurant business, that meant serving Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks, the best beef money can buy and providing our restaurant team with the best training. In terms of our restaurant team, he ran it like a sports team. In sports, one's performance is based on results - either you win or lose. The same is true for our restaurant team. Our managers are called Head Coaches and they have the authority to manage the team as they see fit to ensure repeated winning seasons. Our custom center cuts of Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks accompanied with our aging process make up our award winning SHULA CUT ® , the best beef money can buy. Our custom cuts and aging process are the highest in the industry. You won't find a better steak anywhere. Our restaurant is themed after the 1972 Miami Dolphins' "Perfect Season" - the only team in NFL history to finish a season undefeated. The menus are hand painted on an official NFL game football. At Shula's Steak Houses, one of the featured entrees is the 48-Ounce Porterhouse. Those who finish it join Shula's 48-Ounce Club, which currently has more than 26,000 members. I invite you to experience Shula's Steak House, where we only offer the biggest and the best. Shula’s Steak House Birmingham is a proud recipient of Wine Spectator’s 2011 Award of Excellence. With over 150 wines in our collection and a knowledgeable staff, we can help you select the perfect pairing to compliment your meal.

“Good food - over priced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013 via mobile

Meal was great, atmosphere great, service OK, but the prices are much too high given the cuts of meat offered. And let's face it, it's in Birmingham...

“Not good enough for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

The interior is very high end and smart but I found the atmosphere a little stuffy. Our waiter was great and very knowledgeable about the local beer ( the wine list was ridiculously priced) . Be prepared to have a trolley strewn with lettuce containing little shrink wrapped portions of the particular cuts for your deliberation, like a little meat showcase - a little odd.... I got the impression that the waiters were tasked to up sell at every given opportunity, whether to have sparkling water instead of tap, or an extra side salad. The truffle fries didn't seem to have seen a truffle which was disappointing, and the order of dauphinoise came in a family sized quiche dish, just massive for a single portion. The star of the show, the steak was well cooked and seasoned but I have most definitely had better. If this meal had been half the price I would probably we singing Shula's praises but I left feeling somewhat short changed.

“Great Service, Good Portions, Tender Filets and Tasty Grouper”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

There were 18 of us for a pre Christmas dinner and we had a prix fix menu. Most of us chose the filet, and two chose the grouper. The filets melted in your mouth, but I would have liked more seasoning. Mine had no taste. The grouper was perfect, great taste, perfectly cooked. There were side dishes of mashed potatoes, grilled corn, green beans, roasted aspargus, all really yummy. Our service was outstanding. For a special treat, this is a nice place to go.

“Super Meal, Food and Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Five Star dining at its best. The steaks and seafood we ordered were outstanding and the sides plentiful and tasty. One minor nit was my potatoes came out luke warm but the waiter quickly replaced with a hot plate. The pace of service was good and the prices are what you would expect from a high-end steakhouse. We really enjoyed their appetizer sampler as the crabcakes were fantastic - no filler here. I loved my filet and rib eyes were equally enjoyed. Though not a fish eater, our friends sea bass was similarly delightful. No complaints here just good food and service. Props to our waiter Jason who handled the meal expertly.

“It was pricy but good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

It was pricy but worth the experience. Not a place I would eat every day but for a special occasion it was wonderful!
