we made reservations online in march 2005 to stay here in october 2005. we ended up finding a campsite because there was a big group of us. so i cancelled this room in april 2005. i got on my bank website yesterday to find out that this hotel charged us for our rooms that we cancelled 6 months ago and not only charged but charged more then they were charging for the rooms anyway. when i called them to get them to refund my money that should come from them they told me i needed to fight this with my bank. this money is part of my house payment and so my house payment will be late because of this mess up that these people made and i still haven't got it taken care of. i have a call in to supposedly the higher up than the hotel manager but still no call from him. i would watch your account charges after you leave this place. look we didn't even stay here and got charged 610.32. this is crazy.and they are not willing at this point to make it right and admite they made a mistake and refund our money. beware of your account!!!

Before my wife even checked in she was told her Sept.6, reservation was for the year 2006. After she finally was given a room it was filthy. She is Birmingham for our daughter's kidney transplant surgry on the 7th. Our daughter told my wife under no circumstances was she to take our 15 month old grandson to that room.

The place seems to be run by a bunch of people with ADD. Literally. In this place, it was very hard to get anyone to focus on the comfortable. They would walk away or carry on personal conversation in the midst of helping you. It was striking. And then there were problems that made me contemplate the nature of Discount and money in general. --The room smelled bad. --The highspeed Internet was slow --The walls were thin and there were people yelling and apparently having parties late into the night. ---I got a wakeup call at 5am that I didn't ask for (lovely)

It may be cheap but spending a few more dollars would be worth it.

The building looked nice when my husband and I first drove into the parking lot but the people staying there looked liked pimps and hookers! Although skeptical, we checked in and the room smelled foul. The room was small. The apartment size kitchen and nice open space that is displayed on the web site looked more like a halfway house. We had to be at a wedding (located an hour away) in two hours and even though we were tired, hungry, and still not dressed, we asked for a refund and took our chances elsewhere. Thank God that there were other hotels nearby. The only good thing was that the staff was friendly enough not even to question as to why I wanted my money back.
