Picture on Website is not fitting of this establishment. As soon as I walked in to the loobby to check-in I was unimpressed. The table and the floor were dirty, nobody was at the front desk to check me in( I waited 10 mins b4 anyone came) and there were no rooms ready(which wasnt a problem because I was early). The clerk told me to come back at 3, so I did and they still didnt have any rooms ready. I waited in the lobby being told it was only ten minutes until my room would be cleaned. As I am waiting someone come and checks in and goes on about his way, I ask the clerk if there are any rooms ready because I have been waiting. Miraculously there is still nothing available( so how in the world did the guy come after me check-in???). Finally my room is ready and the ask me for a credit card for incedentials, I tell them to block everything that I wont be using any of their costly amenities( after all the problems it was the least they could do to accomodate me). One clerk says ok and proceeds to checkin but then the GM comes and refuses to allow me to check with out a card for PROPERTY DAMAGE. I dont want to break anything!!!!!!!! I refuse and he tells me if i dont give them a card they will cancel the reservation. I say OK and then he tries to back out and politey asks for a card TOO LATE i was out of there like a light. Ended up at Country Inn and Suites in Bessemer and suites was wonderful(but thats another review!!!) Never again at Towne place
