Owner description: A motorcyclist's dream, this museum has 750 vintage and modern motorcycles displayed on walls, two-tiered platforms and just about everywhere you look. The bikes are displayed randomly, rather than by date and year, adding an element of unpredictability to the viewer's experience.

If you enjoy motorcycles (and race cars) you will need at least a day to see the collection here - they rotate the displayed bikes frequently so you can come back and see machines you may have missed on the last visit - the back wall of the museum is glass and overlooks the track - the Porsche Driving School was running the day we were there - impressive!

“Inspiring Machines”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2014

Barber's Motorsports Museum & Park is astonishing in the collection of vintage, classic, new age, modern, post modern, and just about anything else Motorsports related you can think of. Multiple floors span across the campus, housing multiple genres of Motorsport eras. Walking you through history they convey the living breath and blood of Motorsport, and more importantly the evolving of the Motorcycle industry. The day we visited they also were having a unique race on the track with a variety of BMW's, Mini's, Merc's, Corvettes, and other that whizzed past as they braved the track on a summer day. All in all, this was a visit well worth it, and I would love taking my son back one day for another visit.

“For the gear head in the family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

I decided to check out the local attractions in the Birmingham area and was directed to the Barber Motorsports Museum and park. It happened to be the same day as an international motorcycle race so I got a two-for-one deal and was I glad this happened!

The museum itself is a treasure trove of motorcycles from the late 1880's up to the latest cycles and boast having the largest collection of Lotus cars.

It's a great place to take your family and for anyone who is passionate about motorcycles.

“For men and women!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

This museum was amazing! The history of each motorcycle and racing car is printed in front, and if I had read all of them I'd be there for a week. Thousands of beauties to behold! A must see just outside of Birmingham.

“Barber Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

If you are a motorcyclist, or simply enjoy gazing at them, you must take in Barber Museum while in Birmingham. Five floors of nirvana that will take hours to see completely. Well presented, and very comprehensive-if Barber doesn't have it on display, it probably doesn't exist. On premise cafeteria, super gift shop also. Mr. Barber is frequently there, too. Take it in, you won,t be disappointed!
