Owner description: This historic museum traces the journey of the civil rights advocates of the 1950s and 60s, who changed the course of American history. The struggle for equality for Black Americans is chronicled here, from the Jim Crow laws in the 1800s to the freedom rides, sit-ins and demonstrations of the 1960s.

“Civil Rights”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

I take many visitors to the Civil rights Museum and everyone seems always surprised at the struggles the South went through.
So it is a great educational place to come.
I bring a lot of foreign visitors here.

“Very well done”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

Just across the street from the 16th street Baptist Church. I lived in the South during the time most of the movement was happening and this was an accurate account of what happened.
