A lovely place to wander around. The Laughing Buddha on the main floor is nice, but his 4 buddies on the sides look like dudes that will tear you apart if you dis their boss. I was amazed by the 22 meter Buddha, as when you walk in all you can see is the feet and a bit of the pedestal. Then you look up and up and up.
Count the steps going up to the main temple, it's the same Number as the arms on the Buddha. Another bit of fun symmetry. We had the Temple almost to ourselves so we had leisure to look around a bit and the vendors were very friendly and polite. The monks were helpful too and used their limited English to answer questions.
It was very much an active temple and not just a tourist place. The main court was being used by many locals to get ready for speedskating.
