The Fuli market is held every third day and is amazing to see, although we saw almost no other tourists while we were there. It is full of people from surrounding towns who are purchasing fruit, vegetables, grains, spices, meat, live animals, clothes, toys, electronics, and just about anything else you can imagine. We tried some of the snacks for breakfast and they were tasty. We took the ferry over the river to get here (about a 5 minute ride) for 1 yuan. We saw the old walls and visited some of the galleries with beautiful hand painted fans and art, and purchased a few for family members. Our tour guide Wendy Li brought us here, it would have been difficult if not impossible to navigate ourselves without speaking the language.
