The Chinese are bragging that this is a must see show because it is from the same choreographer as the one who did the Beijing olympics opening ceremony. The show isn't bad, but you clearly notice that he put a lot less effort in this one than in the olympics show. Often, the performers aren't synchronized and some parts can get really boring. To give an example, a choir that is singing for a few minutes and nothing else happens (this happens multiple times during the show), or they show you a riverside scenery, but nothing happens for a few minutes. I'd expected more action. And off course, you don't understand the lyrics, so have no idea what it's all about. We paid 165rmb/ticket which i find a tad overpriced.
