The hostel is situated just down a little alley off of the busy "West Street". It is a great location, and West Street is a great place to be. Wonderful shops and stalls, and bars and clubs. Not to mention loads of great restaurants. The hostel is also within walking distance to the bus station, so you won't have any difficulty getting where you need to go.
The staff are very friendly, helpful, and attentive.
I travelled as part of a group of four, and we booked a 4 bed dorm. When we got here the girl at reception said we would be in a 6 bed, but they wouldn't be letting anyone else stay in there, so we had it all to ourselves! This was nice because it meant we had loads of space. We had our own ensuite with western toilet (this is something I am particularly grateful for, and isn't always the case in many hostels in China). The rooftop bar has a stunning view of the mountains, and there are washing machines available to use free of charge!
The only negatives are that they only offer breakfast (but there are so many great restaurants near by you won't struggle getting food), and our room was on the forth floor, so had a few stairs to carry our luggage up... But really I am just being picky now...
Overall a really nice stay, thank you Showbiz!
