“Warm & friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2010

Overall impression was positive. Greatly helped by the frontdesk staff - gave great travel advise. It takes a short 5mins to walk to the bus station and is located away from the crowded West Street. You can rent a bicycle, have a Western breakfast at the cafe and for a mere rmb10/kg, u can get your laundry cleaned & dried by the staff.
I stayed in a Standard Room for 3 nights. It was relatively clean although personally feel there's a need for some basic renovation ( toilet had a leaking bowl & some old & yellowed tiles). Traffic & renovation near the hostel starts at 7am. So if u are in desparate of a late morning, it'll be tough.

Staff here are very nice and will help you with all your needs. There is a nice area downstairs to hang and meet other travelers. You can rent bicycles downstairs. The area is away from west street and the loud bars, but easy to walk there. The only drawback was the bathroom in my room was pretty small so the floor got a little flooded and it could be cleaner. The bed was nice and comfortable.

I stayed about two at this place,it got very busy during holidays, though reasonably quiet otherwise,I liked the more quiet times generally.
Common area a good place for me to strum my guitar and have a couple of beers and tell the girls on reception how lovely they were.Music played in this area could be more varied,I heard that same stuff many times.
An excellent place, would come here again.

The hostel is right in the middle of the small town, so everything is walkable, if not, you can rent a bike...
Service is good, and western food is good for been in China...
The place is clean, has some sofas to relax, but is kind of quiet place... no party inside...
Rooms are very clean, nice, with space...
Price is good, but not the cheapest though...

It's a very nice hostel, it's just outside the central tourist area but you can walk there in about 5 minutes. They offer all the nice stuff to do in Yangshuo and the surroundings, you can rent a bicycle (and if there's one thing you should do it's cycling in the environment of Yangshuo), go on a kayak trip, go rockclimbing, have a balloonflight and lots more stuff. Very cool.
The staff speaks very good English, the dorm rooms are pretty good with one bathroom per dorm, and they are clean. There are lockers at your bed to keep your valuables in, and it's really cheap. With a membership card, I paid 15yuan per night for a dorm bed! You can't go cheaper than this, and there is still good quality, amazing.

A great value for money: membership price for the single room (me and my girlfriend) was 60 yuan, including simple breakfast. There is Wi-Fi in the lobby for free, bicycle rent, laundry service. The rooms are clean and equipped with air-conditioner that _works_. The staff is friendly and speaks good English (might be very helpful for those that don't speak basic Chinese). The location is 5 minutes walking from the bus station and 6 minutes from the central touristic street. The place is very silent, so we had a great sleep :) We've had a pleasure to stay there for 5 nights and definitely recommend that place to be listed.
