“You'll really like this place at Viu Manent Winery!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

We LOVE this place and go at least once every time we're in the Colchagua Valley. Regrettably, Rayuela is now only open from 12:00 to 17:00 rather than in the magical evening as it was when we first went, but the food is still just as wonderful.

Dining is inside or outside, with a view of the equestrian training grounds and the vineyards. The Viu Manent wines are world class, the food is great and the setting is entirely pleasant. Take a late lunch or early supper and relax here. The full menu also includes nice salads, typical Chilean parilla (wonderful smoky barbecued meats), and fantastic deserts.

After your meal, you're free to take a stroll in the well tended vineyards of this great winery. You can also tour the winery, on a horse drawn wagon, with stops along the way, including tastings at various stages in the process of making wine.  A great learning experience! And for a really fun experience for the horse lover(s) in your party, book ahead with Rodrigo at the stables (ask your innkeeper) and take a leisurely 1-2 hour ride through the vineyard on some of the best horses you will ever find!

BTW, if you're earlier or later than the restaurant hours but hungry anyway, there's also a cafe next door with limited menu.

We especially like the fact that the Viu Manent wines in the restaurant are priced BELOW what you can buy them for, even in local stores. Enjoy a bottle of Grand Reserve or Secreto for a pittance. You're in for a treat! Every winery should treat their customers and potential customers so well!

“Beautiful Location, Food quality varies”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

Sitting outside on the terrace at Viu Manent for a mid afternoon lunch is a special experience. The food and wine are cheap and the dishes are grilled and come with ample sides that you can share. Have been here three times and each time the food was of varying quality. But definitely a nice experience each time.

“Magical place for a lunch on a sunny day!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

We had lunch on a sunny day on the tables outside. We stayed underneath the trees seeing the vineyards! The food was excellent, the service was very good and friendly and wines were perfect. You can drink all the wines of Viu Manent for the regular price.

“Mmmmm.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012

How can anyone have a proper experience in the Colchagua without dining at Rayuela at Viu Manent? It's a must. Great food and service. Stunning location on the polo fields and vineyards. Viu Manent is #1 on many people's list for a very good reason.

“Amazing winery and restaurant experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2012

I have visited and ate at the winery and restaurant at Viu Manent both in 2009 and 2012, and both times the experience was amazing. First of all the restaurant, both the food and wine (wine from only Viu Manent) is espectacular! With great service the entire time. The ambiance is also incomparable, and highly recommend eating outside, to enjoy the view if the vineyards and the hills if Apalta.
Also while at Viu Manent the vineyard and winery tour is probably the best experience of all the winery tours in the Colchagua valley. While the winery is more simple in comparison to the other wineries in the area such as Clos Apalta or Montes, what it lacks in the winery is made up for in the horse drawn carriage tour if the property which is beautiful.
