There is not a lot of choice in Battanbang, but this hotel though old is clean and is very good value for money. Contact with the hotel via email is quick and easy.

You can eat at the hotel, but it wasn't that great.

For most people Battambang is a stopping off point on the way to Phnom Penh or Seam Reap. If travelling to Seam Reap go by boat up the river, it's a fantsatic trip, and if you travel in the dry season you also get a very exciting trip accross country in the back of a pickup truck to get to a part of the river that is deep enough for the boat. Brill!

In summary, I'm fussy, and this hotel gave me a clean room at a very good rate (single £13 / £25).

Stayed there two nights in december 07 and 2 nights some times ago in august 04.

The staff is nice and this hotel is immaculately clean. But it has a cost : at 6 o'clock you will start hearing the noise of the housekeeping staff pulling the furnitures as if it were in your room as there is no sound insulation.

For the first night, we had a room without window. Strange architecture and special design in the different furnitures (in the wrong way).

The restaurant is dirty and the food not good.

Overall this hotel is correct as there are no really better places in Battambang for the time except La Villa.

We stayed at the Teo Hotel last December. We have booked a standard room at 10 USD but when we arrived at the hotel, we asked to see a superior and for 10 USD more (they asked for 25 but we negotiated 20) we had a much better room, much bigger. The hotel is OK and clean even if very oriental.
It can be noisy as a restaurant is just downstairs.
The guy at the reception was very kind.
At the Teo restaurant, on the contrary, the food is not good at all, the people are unpleasant and they tried to cheat me on the price for the breakfast (which is not included in the price of the room)

Large concrete building. More of a business hotel. Used by NGO's in Battambang (Non governmental org's). Clean, small but comfortable rooms. Very basic though. As not much choice in Battambang you probably won't get much better quality. No ambience whatsoever. Smaller guesthouses may be better for tourists or backpackers, and probably cheaper. Staff not much idea but willing and tried to be helpful.
