“Book only the room and spend your entire day off the compound!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

We visited this hotel in its last week of operation before shutting down for the season (Sept 25-28). We booked it Bulgarian styles -- i.e. show up and bargain for a good price. We paid 60 leva/night for a room overlooking the garden on the second floor. It met our expectations of having a place to change and sleep and be close to the beach. Don't expect anything more. There were a few incidents with the bathroom. Without touching the bathroom accessories, and nobody being in the bathroom at the time, they broke on their own. The shower curtain rod fell on the one day, and the metal soap pane in the shower fell on the second day. They never got fixed, just removed by the cleaning staff. We only mentioned it to the front desk so they were aware but didn't really care if they got fixed. I suspect since the hotel was pre-closing they were going to leave it for the off-season to correct. The sea water during our stay was beautiful to swim in, the temperatures were in their high 20s the whole time we were there. There is a beautiful cafe across the street called the Boulevard, I loved everything they had to offer. The menu selection is vast!! There are so many restaurants around this hotel, it's not worth getting stuck eating in the hotel restaurant. Please also visit, Restaurant Nessebar which is a short stroll to your right from the hotel's main entrance, and ask for directions to "Pri Jambo" to taste fantastic Bulgarian national cuisine in a traditional bulgarian environment!!

Room Tip: Ask for the garden view

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks in September 2012.

We had read reviews of this Hotel before we went to Bulgaria, and the majority were not good, but we thought 'it really can't be that bad' - but we're sorry to say that it was!

The location of the hotel is brilliant, the hotel itself is ok - could be a bit cleaner - especially in the bathroom. We had a room with balcony overlooking the garden (or rather a tree!), but it was fine - good size with ample storage.

The Restaurant however, was a real let down. The food was (for want of a better word) disgusting. We were (regrettably) half board. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, but don't bank on there being anything hot - cold fried eggs every day, along with scrambled and hard boiled eggs; lots of cheeses and cold meats for those who like that sort of thing. Nice yogurt though! Evening meals were just awful - usually a choice of about 4 dishes but again, nothing was ever hot. My husband can eat almost anything, but many of the dishes on offer, he just could not stomach. Much of the crockery and glasses were cracked and chipped, and never looked clean.

We found out that the restaurant is run as a separate franchise to the hotel itself, and it is the restaurant that lets the hotel complex down. The Restaurant manager is arrogant and 'creepy' - he watches everyone to make sure they don't take any food out of the restaurant - but who would want to anyhow, it's so awful!

We would have enjoyed our holiday more if we'd have gone half-board and ate out in the evenings. There are plenty of places to eat withing easy walking distance of the hotel. Niko's on the seafront is very good - and he will do special orders (within reason).

The location of the hotel is perfect - step out the front door and you're in the town, leave through the back door, through the garden, down a few steps and you're on the beach!

There are however sun beds which you'll have to pay for (7 lev per bed + 7 lev for the sunshade), but if you want to hang on to your lev and don't mind lying on the sand, go to the far right of the beach where you can lie on the sand dunes, away from the crowds.

From the hotel, about a twenty minute walk and you can be in Old Nessebar which is so full of character. There are lots of touristy shops and bars, but there are many quieter cobbled streets for you to wander and admire the old buildings. The museum on your right as you enter Old Nessebar is certainly worth a visit - at a very reasonable price.

If you're thinking of booking some excursions, find out their duration as with some you're travelling for several hours.

We asked the Rep about a hire car and she said to do it through her, quoting 90 Eu/day. We booked one from just across the road and it cost us 25 Eu/day!

Apologies for this being a rather negative review, but this is how we found Park Oasis Hotel. I hope it helps!

Room Tip: Non-smoking with a garden view. These rooms face the beach, the other rooms overlook the town.

Just back from a week with balkan Holidays to this hotel. On arrival went to the room allocated and walked back out due to the terrible smell, eventually allocated another room which was slightly better. The cleanliness in the hotel left a lot to be desired and we had to ask for clean towels and loo rolls after day 2 as not supplied' the air conditioner was broken and leaked water when in use. On a half board basis and the first 3 mornings the supposed hot breakfast was cold, warmer after that but not to be recommended. Hotel is well situated with nice gardens and easy access to the beach and old Nessebar town. Most of the staff were helpful although the owner never spoke or raised a smile. Would definately return to Nessebar as a beautiful place but would never return to this hotel and would not recomend it. Next time would go to the Mirage hotel which was next door

Room Tip: Room to back overlooking garden

spent two weeks at the end of june and most impressed with the lovely garden area and the location of the hotel, just of the beach.
not the cleanest hotel in the world but adequate, evening meal on first night awful but with the help of lin and jim shakespeare(lovely people) and the rep there followed a huge improvement.
if your looking for a relaxing hol near the beach just the place for you
will go back again hopefully next year

Room Tip: family rooms face the main road and are noisy

A two week holiday with Balkan Holidays was made almost perfect with a 2 week stay at the Park Hotel Oasis..The staff were very friendly( with the exception of the boss who just nodded) and helpful. The hotel had lovely garden which we walked through to the beach. It took 3 minutes from hotel reception to sand.We had half board, large choice buffet breakfast and an evening meal. The evening meal first looked unusual,it was a choice of 2/3 stews, plus a fish dish and a burger/sosage dish.Although it looked different the food was really tasty and my wife a very fussy eater enjoyed every meal. The only minus point ,and small at that was the bath room. The shower was great but water dripped onto the floor, and the basin plug did not work.Would we go back again most deffinitely.

Beautiful resort, and hotel in good location, but food was very disappointing. and service very poor, reception on arrival at 3.00am in the morning was in darkness, we eventually found the receptionist asleep on the settee, she couldn't find our booking, so put us in a temporary room, we were moved the next day into another room better, but by 6.00pm we realised that although room was clean an aweful smell was coming up from drains, which gradually got worse, by the morning it was foul. We had booked half board, but the food was aweful, cold and unappetizing. not much choice, we had to eat out. The staff were so laid back, it was
ublievable, no unifroms. Plates, dishes and cups were often chipped. and there was not enough cutlery. Quite often you saw the barman rinsing cups behind the bar in a little sink. It was such a shame because the resort was really very nice, and had a regular bus service. We went on two trips during our stay, and they were very well organised and informative.

Room Tip: Not at the end of a corridor, back of hotel looks on some lovely gardens

Hotel location was fantastic for beach, 5 mins, and 15 -20 min stroll to Old Town Nessebar.
Beach very clean with attentive life guards.
Our room was on the road side of the hotel, this was a times very noisey from car alarms and trucks with loud exhausts. Balcony very small 2 seats and narrow.
Maides and reception staff very pleasant helpful. Breakfast staff unhelpfull, breakfast not appealing went 4 times over 14 days not good food or good service. Presentation was not as you would expect from 3 star.
Pool small and very cold.
Fitness sweet was good clean, small charge 4lev, and the lady running the area was very keen to help with the equipment if required.
Daughter, 14, expected to sleep on sofa with bed clothes, made up every night.
TV and air con all worked but the hot water ran out at 16:00 -17:00 then it was warm tappering to cold very showers.
Would I go back.... maybe not this hotel... but there are some very good places to eat and sit with a drink near by to sit and watch the world go by. Very relaxing holiday overall only realy in the hotel to sleep wash and change.
