“Correct Business Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

No sophistication, little fitness, very well ubicated close to Avenida Paulista
Interesting to go SP for work
Has to be improved the way that management keeps the hotel, some problems with card key, little damages at bathrooms,...
Very non significant problems that denotated non excellence management

My two sister and I spent 5 nights in that hotel visiting our family. The hotel is fine wiith ok services, but one night before leaving we came to our room around 9 PM and the room was not done, and we couldn't open the safe, our code wasn't working!!!! We caled the front desk and they sent the house keeping manager that open the safe with a little machine without asking for our code, and oh sorprise....$140.00 (american dollars) were missing. We asked for the manager but there was nobody at that time and the following day they did not help us much more. We left and our relatives asked for the money but so far nothing has been returned. Basically, this is a horrible hotel, do not stay here!!!! We are still waiting for our money. The hotel knows exactly he we are and it would be nice to have our $140.00 back.

The hotel rooms are spacious and nice. Good breakfast, the location was very convenient for me. Front desk might be a bit more helpful...but I guess it is the standard for Sao Paulo. Much better than the Golden Tulip sister property around the corner!!

The property itself is quite nice, with a big lobby, nice deco and in a great location. Front desk is helpful but not impressive. Rooms are spacious and nicely furbished, but one can smell right after arriving that it is not as clean as it could be and they are in need of some refurbishing.
Room service is fine, not fancy, and with reasonable price. The only thing is that they never show to pick you tray after you finished eating.
Amenities are also average. At the end of the day, this is a decent hotel that had the potential to be great. I don´t know exactly why but it felt kind of abandoned.

I recently stayed here after having numerous unpleasant experiences at its sister hotel Golden Tulip Paulista Plaza. The hotel rooms are in better condition than the Golden Tulip but the reception area and restaurant are much more plain. The restaurant has a simple menu but good food.

The main problem with this hotel (and many others in Sao Paulo) is that there is a tower being built right behind it and they start work at 6:30am so if you like sleeping in that won't happen unless you can sleep through heavy construction sounds.

It is pretty expensive like most hotels in Sao Paulo but I haven't found any other good alternatives. I will be sure to keep trying new ones until I find a reasonable place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the street side as the opposite is where the construction is happening.

We stayed at this hotel after staying in a 5 star hotel that felt like a 3 star, so we were worried that our next stay was in a 4 star. But we were truly blown away. The room was modern, clean and honestly it was better than the 5 star we had stayed in. The only downside is that the food at the restaurant was disappointing so avoid lunch and dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was okay for a 4 star hotel.
