The monastery São Bento is known for its grandeur and fame in central Sao Paulo. It has over 400 years of history. The monastery always had great influence in the city and was built Benedictine monastery. Monday through Friday at 7 am he offers Gregorian chant and Saturdays only at 6am. The church is open to visitors Monday through Friday from 6am to 6pm (except Thursday which just reopened as of 11:30 am) and Saturdays and Sundays from 6-12am and 4-6pm.
