Owner description: The emerald heart of an oftentimes gray city, São Paulo's Parque do Ibirapuera offers respite from the urban madness among cool, shady trees and mentally-stimulating structures. Running trails, bike paths, and yoga and capoeira sessions let locals and visitors alike keep fit, while a clutch of museums and galleries — such as the museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, all designed by master Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer — gives the brain a good workout. The impressive Museu Afro Brasil and fiery Auditório Ibirapuera are two of the park's treasures.

“a bit of green in the concrete jungle !!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2013

is one of the most visited parks in the city, beautiful, with a large pond attracting a few birds, you can practice outdoor exercises, there trail the outer ring if you want to walk the grass in sunny days, is full on weekends, there are cafeterias and bathrooms to suit your needs. unfortunately there is no collective and frequent transport to take you there, forced you to go by car or taxi. is relatively safe because there are guards but not distance itself far from the main streets. in summer it is common to many concerts take place. for children is a great place to run and play.
near gate 3 is possible to rent bicycles for you and your children, can be frequented by all age groups. There one of the most important museums of SP MAM - Museum of Modern Art, the Ibirapuera Planetarium, Ibirapuera Auditorium with their reversible stage for outdoor concerts, Japanese Pavilion.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

My favourite jogging place! I love jogging at night it is full of people jogging in the morning and at night. Perfect place to ride a bike, just walk, During the day, you can visit the museums, there are lots of exhibitions going on and you cannot miss the water and lights at X'mas time! You must see the sculputure garden all over the park! I just love it

“Serene Park”

Nice diversion from the hectic traffic on Av. Paulista. Very serene, nice mini-nature trail, but a major make-out place among all types.

“Escape from the city...IN the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

Let's face it...São Paulo is about as 'urban' as they come. Ibirapuera Park is an island of green in a sea of gray. If you haven't the time to escape outside of the city, escape INSIDE. Perfect for recharging.
