This is formerly the foremost hotel in Sao Paulo. about 100 yards from Avenida Paulista and a few blocks from the Museum of Art.
Nice hotel to stay, but pretty pricey. The service was really great.
The facilities are in need of an update throughout. It advertises three restaurants, but it is really only one. The food is good, but the variety and menu are rather limited. Breakfast was acceptable, but not great.
Pet peeve: No iron in the room, and when I called to ask for one, they told me there wasn't one in the hotel (what?). Laundry service was ridiculously expensive ($20 to iron a shirt, $24 to wash), I could walk a couple of blocks and buy one for the cost of an ironing... All in all, that's not a huge thing, but definitely a small annoyance given the price.

Our breakfast is traditional in Sao Paulo, and renowned as one of city’s best.
Due to security reasons we do not furnish our guests with irons. However, the prices charged for our laundry services are on average compared with other 5-star hotels in Sao Paulo.
We remain at your disposal for any further information you may need. We are looking forward to welcoming you again at Maksoud Plaza.
