“I would go back”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

Nice place in good location, very comfortable with polite team. The unique thing I did not completely satisfied because when I asked the food after midnight, the food took too long to arrive and the taste was not god.

3 good reasons to choose Estanplaza Ibirapuera: Location, location, location...
Placed in one of Sao Paulo's most "Inn" negborhoods this little hotel offers all the basics a business man can expect to find. Estanplazas have great food and an accesible price (in the context of Brazil's pricey economy, everithing seems to cost 50% more than anywhere else)

Althought is not next block from the finantial "downtown" Av Professor Berrini (Estanplaza Ibirapuera is about 2.5 miles east, 25-30 blocks), kind of works for me because is a more relaxed and quiet place. You can actually walk down SE for 5 minutes (6 blocks) and find the Ibirapuera shopping Mall, good restaurants less than 2 blocks away, a small mini-self service store and a pharmacy.

Price is unbeatable because as you may know all the hotels near Morumbi and Berrini, are at least over 300 usd/night +taxes.

Last but not least, Ibirapuera is very near two things: 1) 5 min away from Congonhas airport for regional connexions liek Rio de Janeiro 2) 2 miles from Ibirapuera Park. So if your saty in Brazil for business includes regional trips and a weekend iin between I find hard to think of a better place to stay.

Rooms are very clean, If you have stayed at estanplazas before you know they charge for internet, but recently they decided to include it for free.
Wathc for the voltage of 220V you may have problems with some electric appliances like an electric razor or non-smart battery chargers.

The bathroom can be small but usually I find it well maintained and clean. a litlle pool in the top floor (non-heated) and right next to the gym. Amazing view of the landing planes at Congonhas airport) A bit noisy at times (When airplanes take off in a certain direction you can hear in the distance the engines at 100% for takeoff) if your sleep is somewhat very "light", not a problem for me.

The included "Café da manhá" (breakfast) is quite nice, not the best buffet in town but does the job in a nice environment. Evenings they have a free cart with coffee fruit and juice right at the little lobby next to the lobby bar, avoid any bread or paistry, kind of looks and tastes as if it was the left-overs from the morning's buffet.

Overall a good-decent value for the buck. (Again... in the pricey Brazil environment)

So how is your portuguese?... See ya' in Sao Paulo...

Room Tip: Any Rooms is good and are very clean, If you have stayed at estanplazas before you know they charge...

Good location and quite convenient, fairly good food for breakfast.
Rooms are comfortable and the water pressure on the shower is enough to rip you skin off. Coming off a 10 hours plane ride and a 2 hours cab ride, the shower will rejuvenate you in a heart beat.
Tries to be "boutique" but hasn't got the flair yet.

Room Tip: go for a high floor and avoid the rooms facing Rua Jandira

I understand that market forces drive hotel prices, but this was just silly. The hotel was fine fine. Fine for a R$300 per night hotel. Food was acceptable, service was ok. No real complaints. However, if (like me) you were caught for somewhere to stay and forced to pay >R$1000 for the night, be ready to be disappointed.

Room Tip: something high up.

Stayed here in mid Sep 2011 during business trip....room was good, bed comfortable...bathroom a little dated but all in all no complaints....price was reasonable (approx 150 USD)......front desk staff was outstanding, Eduardo and Fabio took good care of their guests checking in.....Room service food was only ok....had the Paella and Brazilian Beef - better choices at nearby restaurants.....It is loud and I would recommend bringing earplugs - noise is from street. Neighborhood is fine and close to local shopping mall and park..... Brazilian people were awesome, be a good tourist and represent your country well - realize you are a visitor. By the way, try the Pichana Rechaud and Bar do Juarez around the corner....expensive but excellent cut of meat that you cook at your table.

Room Tip: High floor with King bed and balcony....16tth floor gives good city view.

This hotel is centrally located near the Avenida Ibirapuera. The staff is friendly and the food is good in the hotel. The rooms could use an update. The hotel is 16 floors with the pool and gym on the top floor. I stayed on the 15th floor and I have to say that every morning at 5am it's time for the area to wake up, loud construction, and activity in the streets. The main problem is that the rooms in the hotel have a sliding glass door for the balconey and aluminum blinds on the other side where your bed is. This does not help in muffling the sound and you get all the action from the streets even 15 floors up.
Internet is not free and ranges from 2 hours - 24 hrs cards. There is plenty to do as your near the shopping area and some very nice places to eat are very close by. Cafe Journal is a nice place and has a very nice vibe at night. Bar do Juarez is a classic Brazilian bar/rest. that serves great Chop(beer) and offers great service. In closing the hotel is nice, but bring your ear plugs if your a light sleeper.
