“Location, Location, and Staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

Great hotel, great service, and great sleep! This hotel is on a side street right off of Paulista but you won't hear the noise :-). The staff embodies excellence as every person there was so attentive to all my needs and questions. The rooms were always clean, the breakfast buffet phenomenal, dinner great with a terrace option. I opted for a nice massage to relax upon arrival and was very happy to forget the stress for an hour. There is also a wet pool (to cool off on the roof top, covered) as well as a workout room. Shopping can be found along Paulista and if you like a brisk walk, in 20 minutes you can be in the trendy Jardim area full of nice restaurants and shops. All depends on what you want to spend. You can take the metro at MASP (4 min if that) to any line hence, where you want to go. Taxi service is available as well. Going to Garulhos? You can opt for taxi, hotel car, or go right behind the hotel to pick up the airport shuttle bus (very comfortable/air conditioned, trip will be little more than an hour but so easy) that stops at many hotels. This is where I will stay in the future! I cannot compliment the staff enough as this is what really stood out! Thank you all.

Room Tip: corner rooms on the side street are wonderful as you can glimpse a garden rooftop next door.

I stay there with my wife for a single night to celebrate our weeding anniversary. It was a surprise for my wife and told that we are going there to met a friend that was there. In the looby they offer a glass a champaign which was perfect to reveal the surprise. Since then everything was perfect. I included the dinner in the package which restaurant is one of highlights of the hotel. The spa is great as well, with professional massagist. The rooms are very confortable and smells good. Very clean and everything worked perfectly fine. Location is very good for who wants to see Sao Paulo for the first time by wakking at Paulista avenure. The breakfest was also another highlight, where buffet has a lot of options. You can order special egg, like bennedict eggs which we got without no additional charge. So we definitevely suggest this hotel.

Room Tip: We got room in 10th floor which was really quiet. Sound isolation is excelent and we didn`t heard an...

This is a great hotel in a great location just off of Avenue Paulista. The rooms are beautiful and clean, perfect for a weekend retreat to the city. The staff was so helpful from checking in to making dining recommendations. The pool and spa area was clean and wonderful as well. We will stay here again!

A business trip that would never end: I had to spend a lot more time in Sao Paulo than I had planned.
This hotel was my oasis.
Personable staff that understands that the tired international traveler very much appreciates--- on arrival, especially--- quick attention, efficiency, and patience---- let him get up to that shower and bed asap!
Wonderful (included) breakfast w/eggs cooked perfectly to order whether omelet, poached, or scrambled; wonderful assortment of fresh fruits, juices, breads, and (this being Brazil) sweets. Plus, for the coffee lover, both espresso drinks and "regular" Brazilian coffee from which to choose (I had one of each every morning).
Quiet room, surprisingly so since the hotel enjoys a wonderful location 1/2 block from the massive artery that is Av. Paulista (far W end of it). Nice-sized and comfortably appointed room. Spectacular, huge bathtub made of solid marble--- amazing!
Plenty of meeting areas to conduct private business, too.
Yet, as good as all this was, it was overshadowed by the front desk and other staff: time and time again, they went beyond what one would expect. I had some serious problems with rebooking a flight, the young woman spent almost an hour helping me straighten it out--- one cannot expect the typical concierge to provide that level of service!
I have stayed at more exotic hotels, i.e. the Emiliano and Unique, but the staff at this stellar hotel really make the choice a no-brainer for me on my next trip.

Absolutely fantastic in all regards; complimentary champagne on arrival, clean and good-sized rooms, great spa facilities and great food in the restaurant.
The service and staff is what sets this place apart from other hotels I've stayed in; everyone from the concierge to the reception staff were friendly and professional without being aloof - they all had a lovely personal touch, and I felt like we were staying among friends. Especial mentions to the barman who asked my name after the first day and then remembered for the rest of the week which I room I was in to charge drinks too, and the waiter who looked after us all week at breakfast. A lovely touch - my girlfriend asked if they had dulce de leche one morning, which they found for her, and then next time the waiter saw us, a few days later, they bought her some more out without her asking. Little touches like this mean I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, and if I find myself in Sao Paulo again, I'm not even going to consider staying elsewhere.

This is compact business hotel located half a block from Av. Paulista. Rooms are on the small side, but comfortable. Maintenance is not what you would expect from a hotel of this calibre, though: dripping taps, low cold water pressure and a botched tiling job in shower are a few examples. The most puzzling is the TV reception: many channels mentioned on their TV listing are not available and the reception of the remainder is terrible. Some have no sound, others poor image quality, etc. A final gripe about the room is the lack of an iron/ironing board and the number of hangers available (only four).

There is a hotel gym, but this is tiny and poorly equipped.

On the plus side, rooms are well sound-proofed, internet is included in the room rate and works well and the breakfast is very good. The saving grace of the hotel is the staff: they have clearly been well selected and trained. Service throughout is friendly and attentive.

I would stay here again only if offered a reasonable room rate, otherwise there are better-value options in São Paulo.

We just stayed for a weekend get away. After realising that getting a room at Unique, the Emilano, or the Fasano meant selling your first born child or spending over 2000 BRL per night, L'Hotel was recommened to me by a colleague. I am glad he did. The friendliness and personal approach to the service won me over within the first 5 minutes. Our suite was on a high floor and dead quiet. A nice firm bed and quality linens made for a great sleep. The spa area, although small, was a nice getaway in the late afternoon. The japanese tubs were soothing. The sauna was hot. The massage with Jose was perfect. Carol, the concierge, went out of her way to make our dinner plans perfect. There was always a taxi waiting to whisk us away - the bottles of water within were well appreciated. The breakfast was fine. The first day was amazing with staff falling over themselves to help us. The second morning however was horrible. They only had two wait staff working who could barely keep up delivering coffee and seating guests. Ordering eggs and having them delivered to the table was impossible. Same thing went for the evening turndown. The second night, we had chocolates delivered but no towels, or water. It is like saturday night came and incompetence appeared. I suppose it might have been a special case, but the difference between the two days was striking. It was not enough to keep me from coming back however.... L'Hotel during normal times is still better than most hotels I have stayed in - and I travel often. For the pricepoint in SP, I cannot imagine getting a better value for money experience. Many thanks for a great weekend!

Room Tip: Go for the extra room in the suites. Take a japonese bath. Get a massage. Use the concierge!
