Had a great stay there, the staff is very helpfull and they can give u many suggestions of what to do. Its good located near the metro and main attractions of the city! The beds have big lockers with key and there is free wifi!

Room Tip: The 6 bed dorm are the best! Big and toilet just beside!

We stayed there for several nights at the Global Hostel in room 3 (6 beds dorm) the quality of the hostel is acceptable, specially since it was the cheapest one we could find. Location is ok, close to the park and only a 10 minute uphill walk to the Metro station and 15 mins to the overrated Paulista avenue.
There was a few thing we didn't like. The bathroom was weird, in theory you could take a pee and shower at the same time, as there's no division between wet and dry areas, this makes it a bit disgusting as people come in and out with their shoes where you later will stand barefoot. definitely bring shower shoes.
The staff was not as friendly as they appear to be, the woman working there asked us in several occasion if we were staying there.... go figure! and the guy didn't seem to care much about being friendly to guests.

If you want a place to party, look somewhere else, but if you want to visit the park and go to bed early, this is your gig.

Staff was great!

If you are looking for a private room you might want to check somewhere else

Dorms are fine, but some can get crowded and hot

If you are looking for a party hostel, there is definitely potential, but the staff is very strict with drinking and talking outside after 10 p.m. - so, make friends and go explore Sao Paolo's night life!

I found bed bugs in my bed after the first night, the staff told me that they had problems with bugs the other day, but took care of it ("oh don't worry, they are all dead" - no, they were still moving on my pillow, and there were new little ones!!) and I had bites on my body. So I decided to move out. Bad luck I guess at the end of our traveling - never had big problems with bugs before.
I have to deal with the 'infected' clothing now, thats the worst part.
I know that this can happen in any hostel/hotel/home - just be warned!

After 10 days in Brazil and five hostels, this was easliy the best. The staff were so helpful with everything from getting around town to booking buses for us. The hostel itself had a lovely homely feel in the living room with plenty of room to relax. There´s a big, CLEAN kitchen for the guests to use, and the rooms were spacious with excellent safe storage, enough for our entire rucksacks. There showers were also a highlight, finding a decent one in South America, can sometimes be a chore.
The hostel also had a great atmosphere, the staff are always planning something with the guests in mind.
We would highly recommend this hostel, the best price and location we found in Sao Paulo. Were looking forward to a return trip already.
