First of all, you have to take into account the hotel standard for Piracicaba is less than you would expext for an American hotel. The hotel exterior is very nice and it has a small swimming pool that is perfect for everything but doing laps. It,s nestled in palm trees and provides plenty of shade. There is a nice bar outside and the drink prices are reasonable. What is also nice is the menu because you can order normal amounts of food because it.s very easy to over-indulge in Brazil. I forgot to add there is also a small work-out room with weights and two teadmills.
The rooms are small so I would suggest upgrading to a larger room if you plan to stay for more than a couple of days. Rooms are not cheap but under $100 per night. The breakfast is good with some hot items like scrambled eggs and hot dogs. There is plenty of breads, juices, and good coffee.
