“Definetly needs renovation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

Its ideally located near Guarulhos Airport which takes only 10minutes. The free shuttle is convenient.

The lobby is nice and the staff is friendly. The rooms are generally comfortable but its really old. Wiith some renovation the hotel can be upgraded to another level.

Also the breakfast and dinner buffet is great.

We stayed at this hotel for one night at the beginning of our trip to S America and one night at the end in Feb / March 2013.
We did not wish to travel into São Paulo as the traffic is terrible and the journey into the city can take up to 2 hours.
We were travelling with 'Imagine Latin America' and had asked for a hotel close to the airport where we could relax for the day.
This was perfect.
The hotel is situated 10 minutes drive from the hotel by free shuttle bus. The shuttle bus is towards the left on the 2nd row pavement outside the main entrance of Terminal 1 and slightly towards the right outside terminal 2 . Not clearly marked but there is a small sign saying 'hotel vans'.
The shuttle runs every 20 mins and displays 'Marriott' on the front windscreen.
The Hotel is in the process of refurbishment and is doing all it can to make sure guests are not inconvenienced in any way.
The downstairs lobby, restaurant and bar are light and airy and comfortable. We mainly ate in the bar which was very reasonably priced and the food good.
The swimming pool area is very pleasant, very clean, not much noise from the airport and we enjoyed several hours relaxing there - it was hot and humid during our stay. Also the area around the hotel did not seem at all attractive for exploration.
Both times we were booked into an executive room with access to the executive lounge.
The first time we stayed was in a pool facing room on the 8th floor..It hadn't yet been refurbished and was a bit tired but was fine and had everything we needed. Plenty of surfaces to put our belongings on, good hanging space and very comfortable king size bed, tea and coffee making facilities and quiet air con. The shower was a bit iffy as it needed de scaling.
In this room we had 120v plugs which our round two pin uk adaptors fitted.
The second time we stayed we had a pool facing, refurbished room on the 9th floor which was lovely with new furniture, lovely comfy bed and excellent shower plus everything mentioned previously. In this room we had 120 and 240 v recessed plugs which our adaptors wouldn't fit. Appropriate adaptors were available from the reception desk. They were still completing some of the rooms and lounge further down the corridor but this did not bother us at all.
I would definitely recommend asking for a pool facing room as they are away from the busy roads around the hotel. We were not at all aware of aircraft noise anywhere in the hotel.
The executive facilities were a bit of a disappointment. The lounge was only a small room with a few tables to eat from on the first floor and the snacks available a bit sparse. Hopefully this will improve when the renovations are completed and the full facility on the 9th floor is open.

Finally the staff at the hotel were really great - friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us often in a mixture if Portuguese, Spanish and English.
Thanks to all of them.

We selected this hotel based on proximity to the airport, as we were going on a cruise the following day and needed to return to the airport the following morning to get our cruise transportation to the port, Santos. Everyone, from the bell staff, to the front desk staff, to bartenders and servers were friendly, accommodating, and professional. We met others on the cruise who had stayed there, as well, and all reviews were positive. My only regret is that we didn't stay there post-cruise instead of waiting at São Paolo airport for 10 hours for our flight home. We would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

Very high price but a good hotel. Had to stay just for a night because of a delayed flight, although the location is excellent, it is somewhat pricey. No complaints about the service or the breakfast. Both excellent. The quality of the rooms is good, however also somewhat overpriced for what you are paying. Would recommend again if price is not a significant issue. Overall, was happy with my 1 night stay there.

This hotel is a desaster. They charge such high prices and dont even offer the tooth brush&paste and don´t even offer free one way razors. The rooms look like they are 25 years old. Smoking is punished with 250USD. This hotel is a joke!!! The worst experience in 10 years of business travelling.

Sorry but that the truth!!!!
Never again!

Room Tip: am besten ein Zimmer in einem anderen Hotel buchen!!! better to book the room in another hotel near...

After finding out that downtown Sao Paolo is a long way away from the airport, I opted for this for an overnight stay and found it a little bit better than your average airport hotel
- nice spacious rooms
- good breakfast buffet
- particularly enjoyed spending a few hours poolside before long flight back to London
- reliable shuttle service to the airport
Business center charges you R$10 for PC use and printing the boarding pass, but the staff was very helpful.
The hotel seems mostly used by business travellers.

Stayed at the hotel for one night to pick up an early morning connecting flight. As they saw from my passport it had been my birthday two to three days previous and they gave us two free drinks tokens at the bar-much appreciated.

Shuttle to and from the airport made things easier.

Too late an arrival to take advantage of the facilities. Breakfast was good but they do not open any earlier than advertised. Make sure you book a place on the shuttle to the airport.

We only stayed briefly but all in all a good hotel with very friendly staff
