“Finally in Campinas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Price is high but it is worthy. If you are going to eat a very good beef with perfect side dishes, that´s the place to go.
Try to make some reservation. It is brand new, therefore is crowded everyday.
Do not forget, you will need to have some wine to make a perfect meal. They have great selections.
Also, you meat must be prepare in our taste, it means, attetion with your choice ( rare, medium, well ...) Take a time to take the right decision. Save some "space" for dessert

Enjoy and relax.

“Sensational steaks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

Pobre Juan means "Poor John" which is rather quaint. Poor John wouldn't be able to afford to eat here, it is very pricey. This restaurant is part of a small chain and has only been open for two weeks. Apparently there are two others, one in Sao Paulo and another in Brazilia. Interior decor is robust with a lot of wood, yet very stylish - kinda like upmarket ranch. It's immediately apparent that the designers know a lot about creating ambiance and atmosphere.
We were three and all had steak; this is what these guys are known for. I ordered the ladies Rib Eye, and at 280g this is a generous steak. The "mens" Rib Eye is 380g, so if you like your meat big you're going to be happy. Some of the other cuts are 300g for ladies and 400-450 or even 500g for mens!
Let me just say that this was quite possibly the very best steak I've ever eaten. I thought about it for days after, this is a big statement! I've eaten in some hallowed halls of carnivorous pursuit before, Houston and San Antonio in Texas, Chicago, South Africa, Argentina, Brazil etc.
The meat was superb quality grass fed Argentinian beef, meltingly tender and had been treated with the utmost respect by the chef, done medium-rare. I will long remember my meal here.
