“Good option for business-style stay near airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

This hotel is a good option if your plans would be compatible with a very near-airport business-style stay. Rooms are spatious, quite new. Furniture is basic, as is the bathroom features. Good wi-fi connection. Typical brazilian breakfast with some local additions; good but not spectacular. Attentive reception personnel. Keys kept demagnetizing. Due to street renovations, getting there might be a little tricky.

This is a very nice hotel, and quite reasonably priced. It's a stone throw from the airport, and has all the minimum required items: free wi-fi, bathroom amenities, good breakfast.
Room is spacious and very clean, bathroom is also big enough to not feel suffocated.
Staff is incredibly polite, and check-in/out procedures are extremely efficient and fast.
It could be a little cheaper though: I'd say that R$ 150/night would be very fair, and currently the company fare is a little over R$ 220.

I spent an overnight at the Novotel by the airport during a business trip. The shuttle service from the airport is efficient but you have to call. The hotel is conveniently located but it is not at walking distance.
The check-in was time consuming, and the attendant took my credit card saying it was only as a guarantee, when I actually found out they charged the card. Not a big deal except that at check out there was another transaction made for the extras.. Just unconvenient to have two credit cards transactions for one bill, .. It makes it more complicated for an expense report.
The room as clean as anonomous.

Avoid the Restaurant! The Ceasar Salad had nothing to do with it.. Just a mixes salad with a smelly chicked breast...
Not a place when I would return unless really necessary.

The hotel itself is very nice, but the location was not. It is isolated. To do anything expect a minimum 20R taxi ride. I generally like walking around a hotel and seeing the neighborhood but this neighborhood was ugly. The hotel staff is wonderful. The facilities are very clean and modern. The bed was new and very comfortable. It seems like it was made or renovated recently. The bathroom was also nice. The gym facilities are minimal. They had a few basic pieces of cardio equipment and that is all I saw. They have a 1 lane, full length pool and jacuzzi. The roof was closed over the sunbathing area, which makes no sense since it was a sunny day.

Exit from Terminal 1 and you can see the Novotel. Unless you have a lot of luggage, it is possible to walk – the only tricky part is crossing a median of grass (slows down the wheelie bags). Otherwise, the hotel will send a shuttle bus if you call upon arrival. Allowing pre-booking of the shuttle would be the only thing I would recommend to improve it.

The building is new and well-designed, with large space around the bar and breakfast area; sleek, modern lobby and elevators; and a three person reception area.

Check-in was easy and I was up to my room with no problem. WiFi is free and you can request multiple access codes with no problem if you carry multiple devices. Use Foursquare to check-in and you can unlock a “special” – at my time, it was a drink in the bar.

Despite being 200 meters from the airport, the rooms are SILENT. The soundproofing was top notch – even as I watched planes land I could not hear a sound. Otherwise, they are standard Novotel rooms with hardwood floors, the large bed with set-in lighting, a swivel desk, TV, minifridge and closet area. Bathroom was adequately sized and had great water pressure.

A breakfast spread is available, and reception can easily arrange for the shuttle back to the airport.

All in all, a great hotel that came with a price tag that was on the high side, but worth the convenience.

Room Tip: Ask for an airport side room – may as well watch the view of planes landing and taking off, given th...

The hotel is in walking distance to the airport. I arrived late from Sao Paulo and got a rental car at airport next morning. I had light luggage so I could walk without problem from airport to the hotel. It took 3-4 minutes. Crossing the street was easy since there was light traffic. The room was big, soundproofing worked so I had a good sleep despite having a room facing the street. Breakfast was OK. All in all, it's Novotel standard. In the center there were certainly more options but if you need a hotel just for the night, like me, it is a good option.
