“The best restaurant in Porto Alegre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

Simply the best sushi restaurant I have been. Delicious food, nice atmosphere, perfect perfect perfect! If you arrive and no table available, you wait in a cozzy room where you can have a starter and drinks... I could stay there the whole night. Lovely place!

“No value for your money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

The place causes a very good impression on arrival. The decor is great. But, it stops there. Service was just average for a place with high profile pretensions. Stuffing an iPad with your wine list is not synonym with good or creative service. In my experience, good restaurants do not offer hundreds of wines - they do the hard work of choosing the best for you, giving you the options of value for money or no compromise quality. The food menu is varied and the ideas sound really good. But my choice of mediterranean style seabass did not survive the expectations. The basic idea is a provençal fish, but the herbs were nowhere to find, black olives were tasteless bottled stuff, and the fish was overcooked. My wife and son shared a sushi & sashimi platter that was good, but nothing to justify the price tag. Talking about price, R$36 for two spring rolls was a rip-off. My advice - if you want good decently-priced Jap food in Porto Alegre, go for Saiko.

“New experiences...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

Hashi is a restaurant I know from a long time ago, since its inauguration. Leaving price apart, is one of the best options, not only in Porto Alegre, but also in whole Brasil, to try contemporary cuisine. Excellent food, excellent preparing, excellent place.

That is a place where tou can be delighted with the pleasure of eating. Amazing food, great service, elegant enviroment, but prepare your pocket, it's not cheap. But it is worth every cent spent there...

“Fancy and famous, but the food was ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2012

I've been there twice, and always had sushi. It was ok, but I prefer Daimu, that is for me the best place in town. But they have a great menu of fusion food courses, which I dind't try.
