“Pipa's Perfect Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

I second all the positive reviews here. It was the perfect place for me.
The proprietor was very helpful, which is important since I don't speak Portuguese. She set me up with a great beach, great restaurant (Tapas) and a reserved bus ticket to my next destination (Pipa Travel).

I highly recommend this pousada.

This was the best place in 6 weeks. Nice garden, spacious bungalows with hammocks on each terrace. The poussada is extremely central, but calm. The owner Marilia, her husband Lamir and their dog Bully are the most easygoing person we have ever met - pleasant without being chaperon. The price per night is absurdly low. We could stay there for weeks!

Basic, but nice place. Quiet, at end of street, yet very much i the middle of the happenign area. Very good prices. Nice staff.
Marilia is a very nice and hospitable person, very easy going, and very helpful with what to do and where to go, eating etc.

The thing that makes this place amazing is Marilia. She is so kind and helpful and attentive and fair and wonderful. I really enjoyed her and the Pousada.

My sister and I stayed for 3 nights in Pipa before heading to a 5* conference hotel in Natal. It rained the first day, but Marillia cleared the weather for us for the next few days. We promptly got sunburnt, which Marillia cured with some French after sun lotion.

The accommodations are rustic -- clean and functional (hammock on the veranda), very quaint garden and a friendly communal area to hang out in (with wifi). Breakfast was excellent -- fresh fruit, juice, good cheese and bread etc. There is no place to put valuables in the rooms, but you can leave them with the owners.

We left Pipa for Natal --- where our 5* "Grand Sehrs Hotel" came second to "Pousada Aconchega" in overall enjoyment. Pousada Aconchega is perfectly in tune with Pipa -- put your board-shorts on(and sunblock), drink a few caipirinha's and relax.

Arrive on time otherwise your room will be given away! That happened to us but the owners were fantastic and gave us a guest room in their house at a negotiated rate. The room was simple but comfortable – wood frame bed, very modern bathroom, hot water all day. Bed could have done with extra pillows.

Pousada Aconchego is in a great location – next to excellent restaurants and ice cream bars, and very short walk to shops and beach. The owners are friendly and helpful. Laundry on site is about BR 20, which is average for the area. There is a communal area where you eat breakfast, complete with books, magazines, kitchen and giant flat screen TV. The owners have an ADORABLE sausage dog called Bully, who I miss to this day!

Restaurants are all closed during the day, save beach huts that only serve meat. If you are veg, stock up on food from the supermarket – you will have full use of the kitchen in the Pousada. Dinner restaurants we liked include: Guacamole, Italian pizza place next to the Pousada and Tamassa (on a side street). Aruman has great crepe-ice cream combinations. Enjoy!

Note that Pipa accommodation is expensive and the resort, busy – book before you go!

I stayed here for a month by myself - i intended to stay for only a week but kept extending my stay !

I was very comfortable and would recommend this charming pousada for solo travellers and couples alike.

It is located off the main street up a quiet cobbled street and thus has a very peaceful feeling. The owners and staff are very happy to help with anything. The location is excellent for the beach and the restaurants and bars in town.

I am coming back ( hopefully ) in January if there is any space !
