MANARY HOTEL is already famous in the city because is the only one to be part of the Charm hotel category. Nevertheless, the restaurant is also a great success among those who appreciate good food and nice atmosphere.
There is nothing outrageous about the restaurant per se. Located around the pool of the hotel, it is composed of maximum 15 tables, so I believe that in special dates a reservation is advised. Although is located in Ponta Negra, this place is not touristy at all - many of its customers area locals or travellers which were recommended. The place is too discreet to be noticed by a regular tourist.
The place is unpretenciously sofisticated with a cool and relaxed atmosphere. Dressing up is not necessary!
The menu has a selection of fish, seefood, beef and salad - all of them with a exotic touch, such as mango sauce or Yasmin rice. Generally , the price range from US 25 to 50 per dish.
I recommend the "peixe escalado" which is a fish marinated only with seasalt and grilled with a typical local butter and served with leek and almonds risotto with a touch of port wine.
As an architect, I couldn't miss to mention the huge red wooden front door and its portic, sculped by stones by masters from Minas Gerais. This place is ideal for a romantic dinner 'cause is in front of the sea and all the tables are candlelit.
Bon appetit and be certain of a greaty night!
