“Amazing B&B”

My friend and I had an amazing time at Casa Cool Beans - it's a beautiful property, very clean and well maintained. Everyone was extremely helpful and we really enjoyed our stay there.

One thing I would add is a kettle in the kitchen area which you could use throughout the day - I had a bit of a tea withdrawal syndrome whilst there :)

Also, be prepared to walk from the Gloria metro station (it's a nice and safe walk and not far but you do need to be relatively fit) as taxi drivers are very selective and may refuse to go to Santa Teresa.

Room Tip: Room 4 is great if you are travelling with a friend as it's spacious and has 2 double beds

This was my first trip to Rio, in fact to South America , so some slight trepidation!!
As a solo female traveller , I could not rate this highly enough. I felt relaxed and safe throughout my stay. Lance and Sergio couldn't Do enough, the whole team are great
Lots of help with planning excursions and great safety advice. Rooms are great, comfortable and individual, breakfast is great and a lovely pool to relax by after a day's sightseeing
But best of all - the owners wonderful puppy!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Cool beans. Friends of ours had stayed here in November 2014 and highly recommended it and we were not disappointed. We would definitely recommend CCB to friends and family heading to Rio in the future.

We spent three nights here before heading to Ilha Grande for 2 nights, we then stayed at Casa Cool Bean's property in Ipanema for one night and then returned to Santa Teresa for a further 3 nights.

Lance, Sergio and staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive throughout our stay. They provided great tips for exploring Rio, including sensible safety advice. David, who is based mainly at Ipanema was also very friendly and helpful and we couldn't have asked for better service. We had a late flight home and Lance allowed us to remain in the room until our departure, free of charge which was a lovely gesture - most places would charge for this.

We had a late arrival time and as such our airport pick up was arranged by CCB. Marco our driver was great, friendly, had lots of advice and tips about Rio, the car was clean and comfortable. Marco showed us around the property and to our room and explained everything clearly, so we could just relax after our long flight. We also used CCB for our transfer back to the airport and again David our driver was great.

Due to our back and forth we had two different rooms one downstairs and one upstairs. Both were very clean and comfortable, the toiletries provided were of high quality. The fridge is well stocked with reasonably priced beers and soft drinks. The rest of the property is beautifully kept, has space to relax after a day out and about in Rio. It also provides a comfortable environment to chat with other guests and exchange experiences. The breakfast was great - my husband was a huge fan of the fresh fruit and especially the omlettes!

Santa Teresa is a beautiful part of Rio, and Casa Cool Beans provides a lovely space to escape the hustle and bustle of Rio, with great local Bars and Restaurants within walking distance - Bar do Gomez was a favourite!

Thanks again for helping to make our trip to Rio great fun and very memorable!

We stayed here for 3 nights in Rio and loved it. They ask that you organise your transfer from the airport with them if you arrive late, which we were happy to. Being met by Sergio took away any hint of stress after our flight. We were shown to our room, offered a full welcome chat for the next morning and recommended a great bar just around the corner. Perfect when you're tired after a long flight.

The room we had was fairly simple but had everything we needed and was wonderfully clean. It felt very safe. There was a drying area outside to put clothes for after the beach/pool. There is a communal pool area where due to the time difference I sat with a book being pleasantly harassed by Hulk (their puppy) in the early morning before a dip followed by breakfast. Breakfast was wonderful - exotic fresh juices, fresh fruits and a continental selection and eggs made in front of you. Blissful!

Special mention needs to go to Lance and Sergio who go above and beyond to ensure you have your perfect trip. Every morning Lance will have a chat with you and if you let him know your plans will give you expert advice on what to do, how to do it and will help make it happen. It is like having your own concierge service!

Finally, they are so prepared that they keep some sunglasses for sale in their office - perfect for when mine were knocked over by a wave on Ipanema beach.

A really cool place to stay in Rio that reflects the cool vibe that is Santa Teresa. Upon arrival, we were met by Sergio, the manager who was super nice and helpful. Our room 7 was great and clean with awesome bathroom (my only complaint was that the floors weren't carpet but I'm weird for that according to my wife). Breakfast was complimentary and delicious with made to order omelettes among other savory choices. We were only able to stay there for 1 night but thanks to the hospitality of Lance and Sergio, we were able to keep our stuff there during the day and hang out there before our flight out of Rio. Looking forward to staying here the next time we visit Rio. Highly recommended!!

What an amazing place! - set in the gorgeous neighborhood of Santa Teresa. Amazing staff and invaluable advice from the owner Lance and manager Sergio. This B&B will be my absolute top tip for anyone wanting to visit Rio.

There's nothing NOT to like. My own personal fear of dark waters made me think twice about going in the pool as it's got dark blue tiles - but that's just my irrational fear. This is indeed a gorgeous B&B.
