“...nice place to stay near the airport!”

We stayed here for 2 nights. Overall we are 50% satisfied. It's a brand new hotel. They have a hotel shuttle which picks you up at the airport( very comfortable ).
If you have to stay near the airport it's a good choice. The service wasn't that satisfying( asked a plate with a knife, the reception asked us to come to the desk to pick it up...not a very nice treatment ! Air con on the room was very strong...we didn't even esker if they can fix it...( it might have take to much time). Plus we asked a room on the pool side...no consideration.

Room Tip: ..ask for a pool side room! Maybe you are more lucky!

We booked this hotel half an hour before we checked in. We called from Rio Airport and they sent a shuttle bus which takes 5 minutes. Its a new looking hotel but very clean, beds are comfortable, bathrooms small but functional. Breakfast was surprisingly good too. I have stayed in a number of airport hotels and this one is definitely up there.

Room Tip: we stayed on ground floor which is much easier if you have lots of luggage

We arrived at Rio Da Janeiro airport at about 11pm, so rushed through to the Linx phone to call for our transfer collection. The receptionist was unable to communicate with us in English, Spanish or French not was he able to decipher my phrase book Portuguese. We established we needed to wait in Bay C, and did so for 30 mins before calling again at 11:45. Again told to wait and that it will be there in 10 minutes. Went back at midnight to be told that the transfer ends at midnight…THANKS! Turns out we should have known that a black van with a completely different resort name on it was actually a bus for the Linx Hotel. We had to pay for a Taxi. Breakfast was fine, a buffet but the egg tasted strange so we left that considering we had 24 hours of flights planned for the afternoon. Air con was very noisy so we turned if off, only to be woken by sweltering heat at the crack of dawn. A tin pot bar served microwave dinners and a small selection of drinks, but would not serve us large bottles of water, just what you want after a 10 hour flight.

Room Tip: Look out for a black van in Bay C for your transfer but not IT DOESN'T SAY LINX! - Ask each blac...

Our flight arrived 2am so we wanted to arrive to a nearby hotel to the airport as we werent confident of catching a taxi driver to Ipanema.

This hotel was quiet expensive for the price. rooms were very poor standard of a 2-3 star max. you can hear everyone in the hallway and no wifi worked from the room.

pool not swimmable as was very dirty.

Stay only if u have too.

There are apparently 2 hotels on the airport premises but one is very expensive and the other one has many many bad reviews. Getting an hotel in the city is an option but you will pay a lot more for taxi and traffic in rio can be horrible! This hotel just opened a few months ago and thanks to that everything is new, clean and stylish. reception staff all spoke well English! It is just accross the airport (5 minutes by bus) but dont walk to it. Good thing is that the airport offers a free 24 hour shuttle service (runs every 30 minutes). when you arrive at the airport you will find a telephone booth where you can call the hotel for free and advise that you arrived and they will inform the driver. the bar is 24 hours open as well. They have a restaurant which closes around 10.30 and they offer a good buffet or you can order a carte. Rooms were basic but very clean. decent breakfast. Airco works good, cable tv with a few English channels, a safe and a minibar. There is room for your clothes. Wifi worked well. Only thing which you should know is that they use a different socket than the other hotels in Rio (apperently those used the old sockets which are the ones we can use with our US plugs. They have a few adapters but not enough at the moment so be aware (or prepared) if you must charge up your laptop or smartphone. If you want a good sleep at a clean and decent priced airport hotel than this is an excellent choice.

We arrived into Rio de Janeiro Airport (GIG), from London and needed a hotel near the airport as the following day we had an early morning flight.

After much searching, we discovered the brand new Linx Hotel, at the time of booking, it was only available to book via the GJP Hotels website, however, this hotel can now booked via other providers. This hotel looked a much better option than the other two onsite hotels.

On arrival at the airport, there is an unstaffed desk just after baggage reclaim with a courtesy phone to hotel. Within ten minutes, the free shuttle bus was at the airport to collect us and some other guests. The hotel is only a few minutes from the airport (but not walkable).

The hotel was expecting us, our keys and credentials were ready and within a few minutes we were in our room, which was a standard room on the sixth floor.

The best way to describe the hotel was functional. The room was clean, bright and airy and served the purpose required. The bathroom too, was functional with a lovely large and powerful shower.

This is by no means a 'fancy hotel', toiletries are limited to a couple of soap bars and a small shampoo/conditioner, there is no hospitality tray, however, there were two complimentary waters in the fridge.

A breakfast buffet was included in our rate which was good. Cereal, pastries, cakes, fruit, a few hot items were on offer along with juice and hot drinks.

The hotel has a gym and a swimming pool, the latter looked most inviting, however, the opening times didn't suit us.There are also computers to use and a 24hr bar.

A couple of small niggles. The fridge in the room is not a hotel fridge, it's a small domestic fridge and as such its very noisy when it 'kicks in'. One big design flaw, in my opinion, is that the corridor floors are tiled. As this is an airport hotel, you could hear guests rolling their suitcases at all hours outside your room. The room could also do with a couple of extra pillows, although I'm sure they would have been provided if we'd asked.

We spent a total of about 8 hours at this hotel, and was more than happy with our choice. If you need to spend the night at the airport, this will is a great option. I wouldn't have a problem staying here again.

Room Tip: At the end of a corridor so that nobody has to wheel past your door.
