Bookeed a night to spend a nice weekend with a friend and from the get going we had some hicks.
Reservation was done on the starwood web site, no problems with that, asked for an early check-in and a higher floor bedroom.
Upon arrival the crew was very helpfull but no rooms available, we were told to wait for the regular check-in time. After some discussion we got a room on the first floor, well not the requested floor, and when arrived on the room a strong smell of mold impregnated the floor and the room, and no view to the beach.
After a trip and some complaints, was able to get another room on the 7th floor. No smells, view to the beach and a higher floor.
Try to lower the room temperature at no avail, finally called the reception and upon arrival of the tech we were told that the system was not able to provide cooling because of the heat wave?!?!? Wait this is Rio de Janeiro and it's always hot!!!
Try to plug my cell to charge and found out that all the outlets were 220V... Wait Brazil is 110.... So another call to the frontdesk to get a converter...
All those little things were an annoyance but the crew stepped up and solved the issues... In the end despite the goos job, the Hotel had so many hics that doea not correaponds to the stars rate, nor the price for the night.
