“The View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

Iv stayed in the Panoramic boutique hotel twice, the first time for two weeks and the second for one and i can say this hotel is without a doubt the nicest place iv ever stayed and for several years now iv had a job where I've had to travel a lot. First thing is the view, its unbelievable i did not get tired of it. The breakfast (which is lovely) can be served outside every morning so the view can be enjoyed. The rooms are massive with comfortable beds, beautiful period furniture and original 1930s bathrooms. The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The pool which is outside also benefits from the lovely view. The hotel itself is in one of the most picturesque parts of Santa Teresa with plenty of good restaurants a few minuets walk away. This place is amazing I would defiantly stay their again and highly recommend it to everyone.

I stayed two nights, it's not the first hotel I've been in Rio. Must say it's exceptionally great. Fabulous view from a large terrace to the sea, Sugarloaf Mountain and downtown Rio. Clean, quiet rooms with unique design, delicious breakfast. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The popular Lapa and Centro districts are only 20-30 min. walk.

The Rio Panoramic hotel situated in historic Santa Teresa certainly lives up to its name, the views are truly amazing,
after a long flight from London, we arrived at the hotel at 22:00, we were greeted by the hotel manager , Isobel. we were made to feel really welcome, the hotel it's self is very clean and furnished with fabulous Art Deco pieces which gives it a unique character. The service was superb and Isobel ensured we knew all the best places to visit and the best places to eat etc, Isobel also ensured we had taxis when we needed them....all in all a great Hotel that I would not hesitate in recommending ...A+++

I highly recommend a stay the Rio Panoramic. As the name suggests, staying here offers you some of the best views of the city. Set in the beautiful area of Santa Theresa where you can wander through cobbled streets and dine at some excellent restaurants, the hotel really offers a tranquil experience. The staff are so friendly and happy to help you in any matter regarding your stay. The breakfast is exquisite and taking the opportunity to eat outside whilst taking in the views are not to be missed! I'll definitely return.

The place is amazing, great views of the bay. Confortable and spacious rooms, our bathtub had an amazing view! The staff was really nice, especially Isabela who did everything she could to make our stay great.
On the downside, most taxi drivers don't like going to Santa Teresa, so it was really hard to find someone who could take us there. And on the weekend we were there, there was no hot shower! Which is unacceptable for a hotel in this price range.
I think it was just bad luck, and if it wasn't for the shower, we would have loved it so much!

Dear Teo,

First of all, thank you for you review. As you now, we are quite new and all our guest opinions are wellcome to improve our services. We are in the hills of Santa Teresa, that is why we have one of the best views of Rio and sometimes taxis do not like to go to Santa because of tranvia tracks but just sometimes. We offer our guests transfer from/to the airport and private car service to make them easier.

With the worm water I am so sorry, we have water-heater with gas, and the problem was with gas company, we remodeled the house and all the instalations are new, but if the problem is with the district infraestructure, there is nothing we can do. Santa Teresa is one of the oldest placed in Rio, and is a charming district, but sometimes this things happens. We offered our clients the extra-shower we have for emergencies with electric system and we paid the transfer back or made a discount for last weekend guest (when we had this incident), but unfortunately, we could not do anything else.

RIO PANORAMIC staff would like to thank you for your feedback, we appreciate your recognition of our service and we hope to welcome you again to make you feel completely satisfied.

Thank you again, Isabel

It takes some uphill search in small streets, but once you're through the gate you imagine yourself in a quiet place in the beautiful district of santa teresa.
Great views, tranquility, turtles, parrots and toucans and still close to all major sites in Rio.
In this small hotel you get personal attention from the owner and her staff. The morning starts with a rich breakfast. The santa teresa district is safe and full of good restaurants and bars.
I'll definitely be back.

Very nice place to stay and enjoy The Day. A wonderfull view of Guanabara bay and suggar loaf. Very calm, silent and clean. I really would like to visit it more often times.
It's a very cool place to stay and take a rest after walk on the historic neighborhood of santa Teresa. Very well located. Very Nice experience.
