We stayed at the Copa hotel for a couple of nights- The hotel facilities are good.
The rooms are not bad some with nice views over the corcovado though a bit commercial. Staff at reception were very keen to always try and sell you tours and taxi rides!!
The pool had very nice views but didn't look very clean.
Breakfast were good with good selection of fresh fruit, tortilla etc
I was told that good hotels in Rio are hard to find. Perhaps next time I will try somewhere else. This isn't a bad choice but there must be better places to stay than this.

Wow, I was expecting a dump and thats certainly not the case with this hotel.

The pool is great and it's open all night.

The beach really isnt far and you REALLY don't want to be staying on the beach front anyways. Way too touristy.

Very near to local shops rather than expensive ones (2 supermarkets round the corner)

The metro is literaly outside your door.

The staff were a pleasure all week.

Rooms are fine and I could have had a carnival in the marbled shower, it was that big.

There are some really bad hotels in Copa. Do yourself a favour and avoid them! I'd stay here again for sure.

I stayed here with a friend recently for 4 nights. It is located on a busy street, about a 15 minute walk to the beach. It is not "3 blocks" as advertised. The room was small and not well appointed. The air conditioner is a wall mount unit, which was either too hot or too cold, and always too loud. On the other hand, it was clean. The front desk was above-average helpful, the daily breakfast was pretty good. The pool is a joke. No one was ever there, and the bar was never open, and the pool furnature was very basic. It was OK, but I would not stay here again. It may be worth it if you get a great price, but it would have to be really good.

The Premier Copacabana is a very clean hotel with a lovely pool on the roof. Breakfast was always a pleasure. On Sundays, taxi drivers may turn off their clocks and ask for double fare. One has to bargain with them on Sunday
