The hotel was easy to find from the nearby metro stop. We found the neighborhood to be fine even for walking around at night. There is a lot going on in the area; plenty of food stores, restaurants, and activity. Our room was a decent size, and had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was extremely narrow, however. I had to sit sideways on the toilet. It was clean though. They had a decent breakfast spread (7-9am only) and the daytime staff was very helpful and spoke great English. I thought the price was really good considering other places I looked at in Rio. The hotel also offered free wifi. One possible drawback for some; there was not an elevator and we stayed two flights down. Just to be clear, this is not a problem for me, but if anyone had a health issue they might want to ask for a room on the ground floor. The hotel was also a little noisy, as it has wooden floors and doors. All in all, a fantastic choice for anyone who is budget conscious.
