Inexpensive, clean, tight room. You're paying for exactly what you see in the pics. There's no minibar or phone in the room, but there's a convenience store in the lobby. Staff very polite and helpful.

Room Tip: People say it's quite noisy on Fridays' and Saturdays' nights. There are loads and theat...

Fair was BRL185 for 1 terrible night. I stayed on Friday, June 8, and a club nearby made me feel in the middle of the party all night long. I still have those Rihana, Maroon 5 songs on my ears. Location is good if you want to enjoy the night clubs in Lapa, but that club in the corner of Silva Jardim is awful. Accor should advise about the noise. Room is as expected, but cleanliness should improve.

I've been a lot of times in this hotel during the last years and I don't expect luxury in this category. But now prices have been increased to an incompatible level to my opinion. Some reasons for that:
1) poor overall maintenance (cleanliness, functionality). During my last but one stay, the window didn't close because one of the support arms was distorted. I got the adjacent room and heard the maintenance guy call to reception, that there was "everything ok - no problem at all". When I left my room to speak to this guy (we went back to the room and I showed him the open gap of the supposedly closed window), he wouldn't accept this -incredible!
2) Rooms sometimes smell strange, and sometimes there this is the smell of cigarette smoke - even in non-smoking rooms.
3) Rooms are noisy, because of a night club in front of the hotel and very thin walls. You hear almost everything your neighbour is doing.
4) Actual price is 175 R$, but nothing is included. The adjacent parking lot costs additional 25R$, without any discount for clients. This maybe ok for small groups, but for single traveller it's very expensive for what you get.

It delivers on all points - adequate breakfast , clean and functional rooms , parking next door at good value. Much better choice and value in the centro , than the hotels at the beach ...

This is a no frills hotel, no service, no extras. You pay also for your breakfast (not expensive, but simple). The surroundings like "Largo da Carioca", "Tiradentes Square" and "Republic Square" are dangerous at night. During the day there is no problem walking around since the hotel is in the very center of Rio. The rooms are very tight and small and the shower compartment (very small) opens directly to the room throught a glass tempered door. There is room only for three people inside, with a twin bed at the floor level and an upper bed that has its access by a small stair. In short, the room is only for sleeping purposes since you will not feel confortable inside it for a long time. Since in Rio the hotel rates are very expensive this is a cheap and safe alternative for a short stay in this wonderfull city. The hotel is very safe itself but the surroundings during night. So, please never walk alone outside the hotel at night. In case you leave the hotel by night to do any kind of program or activity, always take a certified taxi at the front door. The "Lapa Borough" is very near and has many interesting atractions like bars, night clubs, theater and music presentations. It is very worthwhile knowing "Lapa" and all its atractions by night. There is no restaurant, no pool and no fitness center at the hotel.

Room Tip: The higher floors are better.
