This restaurant is on the way to Paraty from Penha so if you are visiting the waterfalls it is a great place to stop on the way back. You park at the side of the road and take a bridge over to the restaurant which is set in beautiful scenary with lovely flowers and a river running by.
We went at lunchtime are were there about midday but there was only one other tourist group who had stopped by. Another 4 people arrived as we were leaving so the atmosphere was a little quiet but certainly calm and peaceful. This restaurant is in all the guidebooks and I think we expected a little more that we got as the service and food was very average, certainly nothing special.
I had the pesto pasta which was very good and fresh and my husband had the prawn spaghetti which he was a little disappointed with as there was not so much flavour.
I think in terms of value for money you can get better service, quality and value in Paraty historical centre but if you want a calm quiet country setting then this would be perfect for you.
