“Perfect place to call home in Ilha Grande”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

First impressions were great when we arrived, it is a no frills type of Pusada but at the end of the day it is literally somewhere to lay your head in this amazing place and for that it is perfect. The staff were mostly friendly (limited English) but who cares. Room was safe and really clean, wifi was very basic but hey who wants to sit around on their lap top here. A really great location to the town center and jetties to get you to all the different beach's and lagoons. Breakfast was A+ and fresh and really clean. All in all would stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting. thannks for having us!

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are basically the same but a balcony room towards the front may get you away f...

We spent an extended weekend over a public holiday in this pousada, when prices tend to double and are completely crazy all over Brazil. To be fair, I'm not reflecting the public holiday prices in my review but am basing it on the regular price.

The location is excellent, in the heart of the village, in the second line to the ocean, close by to the shopping lanes, restaurants, and the main tourist pier. You won’t have an ocean view but calmness at night.

Our room was reasonably sized for the three of us, with a small single bed and a small double bed. The fridge hosted a sort of minibar which is somewhat exceptional for pousadas. The tiny TV broadcasted public channels, not really worth using. Internet is not available in the rooms but in the reception area and works pretty well.

Don’t expect too much from breakfast, but for Brazilian pousada standards the choice of fruits, rolls, marmalade and so on is above average. Eggs are not offered and toast can’t be toasted, though.

The pool is particularly cool for small kids to swim and play as the beaches in the village don’t invite you to do so when you return from a day trip or plan to stay in the village for the day.

Check-in and check-out is pretty fast and payment with credit card is possible, something that is rather rare among the other pousadas on the island.

And one final remark regarding the language the staff is able to speak. If you travel to Brazil and won’t stay in a bigger hotel chain, don’t expect the local people to speak English. It is just not (yet) common in Brazil. Better prepare yourself with a little bit of Brazilian Portuguese or Spanish.

It's a simple hotel but very nice, clean and well located. The rooms are simple but very clean. There is Wifi at the reception but has no reception in rooms. It has a nice swimingpool. Staff only speaks Portuguese.

Oops - don´t get confused with Pousada Naturalia! Still a good hotel. Convenient location a block back away from the main beachfront and jetty. Room was average with natural drift wood furniture. Small breakfast selection. Staff did not speak English. No computers or wifi.

We spent 2 nights at So Natureza with two small children. The location is practical at the back of the Village of Abraao close to the jetty where the boats from the mainland come in and where the tour boats leave from. Also the pousada is close to both restaurants and shops. The pousada is spacious and the outdoor pool was a great plus, especially for the children. The rooms are spacious, but basic.
The breakfast was ok, but nothing to write home about.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
