Wow! The process of booking this hotel through Denise, the owner of Vila Pitanga, to actually keeping camp while in Buzios was incredibly easy and very pleasurable. I organized our stay via email with Denise who speaks great English. We were very fortunate to have found her! She is very accessible via skype, email, phone, whichever. We arrived in Buzios by bus on the afternoon of September 3rd and checked in later afternoon. The pousada was beautiful. Outdoor shower, clean and lovely rooms, large shower, closet space, television, hammocks, beautiful porch with a great view... This place is the place to stay if you're looking for an affordable pousada with plenty of charm. And the breakfast there is marvelous as well. She also gave us great directions and tips to experiencing the area, including help setting up a buggy. I'll definitely be back next time we're in Buzios. And it's walking distance to Praia de Ferradura.

We stayed in Buzios for 5 days and picked Pitanga because of the reviews and were not let down.

Rooms spacious and clean, 10 minutes from Ferradura Beach and the Town centre but what made it special was the help the host, Denisa gave us.

We were in Buzios to sort out our wedding plans for next year and the from the first moment to the last Denisa went out of her way to make both our stay and our organisation and planning as easy as possible.

Could not recommend Pitanga enough and when we are back next year I'm sure a large number of the party will be staying here.

Apart from getting a very good deal on price for the whole week...
Denise, the hotel manager, was a star putting us on the right track and helping us with everything we needed, key contacts in town, hire car, etc ... without her I don't think we would be able to have our wedding in Buzios!!!

What an amazing place to stay. It felt like a 4 star hotel with gorgeous spacious rooms, a lovely bathroom and hammock on the balcony. The atmosphere is really relaxed and chilled.

Denise is the perfect host and made us feel incredibly welcome with lots of great tips about the area.

I would highly recommend Vila Pitanga to anyone heading to Buzios.
