We were impressed by other reviews on tripadvisor so decided to stay at Vila Pitanga. It certainly lived up to expectations. In a location that´s within easy walking distance of beaches and restaurants. The rooms are tastefully decorated and airy. We had a top floor room which had a great view looking out over a lagoon close to the Vila - perfect to lie in the hammock and watch the sunset. But what really makes this place a grade above the rest is the owner Denise. She´s so incredibly helpful and really geniune. Highly recommended and great value.

My brother and I(Both 20 somethings) visited Buzios for a planned 3 nights in July. Due to overwhelming things to do in Rio we made it to Buzios a day late. Dennise was amazing at contacting us back in regards to our reservations. When we arrived we were a little sceptical of the dirt road leading to the B&B but once we reached our destination(12 seconds by way of taxi from the bus stop, get a map and walk, unless you have lots of luggage as it is right behind the bus stop.) Dennise went through what to do, where to go, who to contact if need be. This was amazingly helpful in determining where we needed to alot our time. The first day was spent at Ferradura beach. This beach is a cove where the waves are small there are a couple of beachside places to eat. That night was spent searching for something to do during the brazilian winter there. Not much to do but we had a good time getting to know people. The next day was spent looking at the amazing looking women on geriba beach. We ended up meeting a couple and hanging out. Dennise was always there to offer help or a taxi call if need be and was funny when she asked how our night was because needless to say we didn't stay at home that night. She was incredibly nice and even though we both spent a month in brazil she was one of the only things worth writign about. Thanks again dennise and have a wonderful time in buzios if you are visiting.

Although it is on a dirt road and sort of isolated, it is within walking distance to city center. The room was clean and adequate and had HOT water. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I highly recommend Vila Pitanga

Outstanding ! After spending 8 days discovering Buzios and its many beaches, I cannot think of a better located place to stay than this Pousada, Vila Pitanga. It is right in the centre of the everything, walking distance to pretty much anywhere you want, 5 minutes walk from the main town centre and restaurant area, easy access to the nearest beach but even with this great strategic location, you have no noise problems...peace and quiet !! The views are lovely, the decor is gorgeous, the rooms are spacious, very clean and with great showers (en suite) and to top it all off, the owner Denise is the best host I have come across in my 14 years of travelling South America !
I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Buzios, and I will be returning, perhaps many times....Buzios is a jewel of a place, and one of my most memorable experiences. The 23 (perhaps more) beaches offer everything from white sands and calm, warm seas to rocky cliffs and great surf - all within 10 minutes of one another ! Beach service is fun, with everything offered from the table chairs and parasol to freshly caught fish, lobster and caipirinhas !!!

A must go place !
