This is your usual small hotel with everything right at the standard level. It will not disappoint you and it won't make you go WOW either. The best part however is the free Airport pick up. The location isnt exactly the city centre as all GOOD bars/restaurants are a good couple of kilometres away from this hotel!!

I chose this hotel primarily for the free airport pickup, but on arrival I realized I'd looked at an entirely different hotel online. Expecting a boutique hotel, I got a run of the mill tourist hotel, with standard but friendly staff, very average rooms and a tiny bathroom that hadn't been cleaned. On my second day, they didn't clean the room at all and I had to wait in the lobby.

Since I was there for the amazing waterfalls, I didn't care much about the hotel. However, the best thing about it is that it's around the corner from the bus station. There you can take the bus to the Falls, the airport, and even Paraguay (if you're feeling brave). The travel agents in the lobby are good for booking specialty trips; otherwise, take the $1 bus to the points of interest.

Breakfast was pleasantly bountiful, with good coffee and lots of fruit. Check-in and check-out was smooth sailing.

Good decent place with good staff that speaks good English.
The staff were excellent in cancelling my initial reservations of 3 days to one day. Initially they stated I will have to wait till Monday for manager to authorise the change as it was a sunday.

I put my foot down and insisted that's not good enough and they effected the change. They have a free Shuttle ride from the airport which was a relieve for me as I arrived around 12:30 am in the middle of the night.

The hotel manager Mr Lucas Teng was exceptionally excellent before my arrival . He made it so easy for me with his constant emails and it was such a difficult decision not to stay there for more than a day

Thanks Mr Lucas Teng

The location feels like you're in the middle of busy street with no privacy. The setting is not secluded that gives you a sense of privacy and been in a holiday.

More like a Travel Lodge type of hotel in a busy street

I will recommend Agua Hotel because the facilities in the hotel are very much good for the price

Room Tip: It was generally quite although it was a sunday when the shops were closed. On a normal day, I pres...

I highly recommend this hotel. It includes a free shuttle from the airport and delicious buffet breakfast. The hotel is situated around the corner from the main bus terminal ($1.50 return to the airport and to the Falls themselves). The staff were incredible friendly, and the rooms were very spacious and clean. Guests included families, solo travelers, and couples.

I spent only two nights in this great hotel! I got in about 1am and the rostered staff was able to converse in English and assist with the checkin with no problems. It is well maintained and located very close to the local bus station (for the budget traveller who want the cheap option to go to the Falls). The staff are professional. Highly recommended!

Stayed here for winter and was not prepared at all for the cool weather (flying in from tropical Rio) however the hotel had a little weather chart at the reception..

Free airport pick-up ( just email them and liaise) and its central location in Downtown is close to shops, cafeteria ( por kilo style restaurant) , eateries, money exchange ( there is one, right outside the hotel) as Avenida Brasil is apparently the first Shopping street in Foz do Iguazu. The Shopping Cataratas JL Mall is a 15 min walk along Avenida Argentina and a 3 min taxi ride home.

Granted, tourists visit Foz to get to Iguazu Falls and some even cross the border to Ciudad del Este ( Paraguay) for cheaper electronics and Puerta Iguazu to access the Argentinian side of the falls but stay and explore the city center and discover what a diverse city it is ( Muslim Mediterraneans, Japanese, Europeans, Latin Americans etc)

Hotel - large reception area. Some hotel staff could speak English and others, just make do with your half-past six Portuguese or Spanish, they could by large, understand what you are trying to say. Friendly & helpful with enquiries and directions and the tours desk could arrange any type of tours to your heart's desire. ( I booked a Viator helicopter tour and my pick-up point was the Hotel Foz ( which apparently costs much more but of a similar quality) directly opposite this hotel.. ) I asked for a wake-up call at 3.am. in my horrible Portuguese and I was awaken on time so yeah, your needs can be met..

Room - large and spacious enough ( according to Brazilian's standards). I had a triple room for a party of one which was always much appreciated. Nice bathroom with good, strong hot shower and a mini-bar in the room as well. My fifth-floor was right outside the lift hence the any movement in the corridors could be heard but I reckon its the Brazilian buildings code of conduct where walls are thin and soundproofing is relatively non-existent throughout the whole country..Wifi signal is good.

I woke up too late and did not try the breakfast ( although others raved about it). The breakfast room is on the 2nd floor and the wonderful smells wafted up all through the building.

For such a small city, the Cataratas airport is pretty far away ( at least 60 reals = 30 USD, for a 4 a.m. journey) and get the hotel to call one for you (apparently its a flat rate of 50 reals for an afternoon journey - go figure). Hilariously, the hotel staff locked the front glass entrance at 4 a.m. however left its side entrance leading to the carpark, gaping open..

Granted, the city feels more safe than say Recife ( murder capital with highest rates of homicide in Brazil) and even metropolitan Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro but carry your wits about you when you explore about town..Esp if you come across the favelas near the river bordering Paraguay and Argentina.

Would definitely be back here again when I hit the falls again and cross the borders. Love this non-pretentious, tourist class hotel! One more reason to love this amazing country, Eu te amo Brasil!
