“Save Your time”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Can not recommend. It is a normal power plant, like the others. The pictures show plenty of water, but You have to be I think really lucky, we did not see nothing like this. It is expensive :-/. The video shows, how they great they are, which I found cost-less. I think it is more a (politic) program, than a real trip. May-be try it in the night (it is only one day a week). Or save Your time for others thinks here, You have a large choice!

“Impressive!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

I wasn't that keen to go, but went all the same. I am glad I did, I learnt so much and the visit to both the interior and exterior sites is well worth the extra money.
I am not sure about the highly promotional film beforehand about the well being of the environment, it did have a devastating effect and that needs to be acknowledged. All the same one cannot but admire the engineering and science that went into this vast project.

“Keep the other side of the story in mind”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Yes, sure. Its a brilliant engineering achievement. If I was Brazilian I would be proud of it too. And better to produce energy this way than by burning coal. BUT, try and remember the environmental devastation caused by this project and PLEASE watch the introductory video with a critical eye.

We did the bus tour - an OK way to spend half a day between waterfall visits.

“Everything here is massive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

Been here during 2009. Everything here is massive and big, thus understandably is its size of power generation. The trip in the bus is very informative. Both the sides (Brazil and Paraguay) are good. Nice to spend a sunny day. Recommend for all people visiting Foz de Iguazu.
