The Super 8 in Ashland is right across from Lake Superior and one block from the Main Street area of Ashland where the city's shops and murals are located. The hotel is well maintained as well as affordable. It is located a short drive from the Apostle Islands and a number of National parks, hiking trails, snowmobiling, hunting, antiquing, vineyards, etc. It is about an hour from Ironwood and the ski resorts there. If you like to visit casinos, we recommend the one in Red Cliff on "Lucky" highway 13 just north of Bayfield. The Bad River Casino is also just 10 miles east of the hotel.

While in Ashland, you might want to visit the South Shore Brewery on Main Street and the Deep Water Grille (they are in the same building). The food is delicious! This is located only a few blocks from the hotel.
