“Functional but no more”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

This hotel is overpriced by very well located in terms of the convention centre - in my opinion this would make it the only reason to stay there. (It is an easy walk to the Convention Centre but is not well located in terms of anything else - for instance, there are no decent restaurants nearby.) Staff are friendly, but hardly anyone speaks English, even at reception. The rooms are poorly designed - large but not well laid out and with minimal cupboard/drawer space. Room service was terrible - what they brought was completely different from what was described on the menu (but the bill listed what was on the menu so they sent the correct order!). Soap and shampoo was only replenished on day 4. The room was only cleaned at around 4pm each afternoon. If you need something functional and have few expectations, it may work for you.

Stayed 3 nights for business trip downgraded from Golden Tulip downtown to this hotel to make the am commute easier. It is close to airport and convention center. Check-in was a disaster, got an online reservation and reservation #. Desk had no idea what I was talking about and wanted a voucher. On top of that the whole reception staff did not know very much English which is inadmissible for a major hotel chain. Ended up charging for my whole stay at check-in which is ridiculous. Room was spartan, and smelled musty when the AC was not on like it had never been aired out, water was brown in tap and toilet. In-room Wifi Internet was not working until last night, they told me I would get a 10% refund, which I didn't. The fitness center has a treadmill, elliptical and bike but none have a holder for reading material while you workout and no water or towels in the fitness center. The swimming pool on the roof is unlit at night and the hot tub is unheated. I got a rash from the sheets must have been the detergent they use. Check out was a disaster, no bill under the door, clerk spoke minimal English, gave me a hand receipt which took 10 min to write out. No itemized bill, when I asked for one, he told me he would email it which he didn't. I'd be hard pressed to say I've stayed in a worse hotel in the past 15 years. Only good thing was free breakfast which was decent. Stay far far away until management gets a clue about running a modern hotel.

Room Tip: Sleep in another hotel, they should have good rooms, but not here.
