“Very good but not quite Superb”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

Stayed here for a two week stay whilst visiting my wife's family.
Most other guests here though seem to be on short stays.

The room (just a standard room) was massive and had fantastic views.
The room was immacutely clean although I wasn't impressed by the burn holes in the net curtain nor the cigarette burn marks on the bed-side table.

The pool up on the roof was great although too hot with the windows preventing breeze!
The choice at breakfast was fantastic (includes Pao de Queijo!!) and we ate the fegiolata they do on Saturdays and that was great too. Would recommend.

Generally the stay was very good although some criticisms:

1. The hot water in the room is boiling in the mornings, then only luke-warm from 11am. Ok for a shower, but not for shaving.

2. The Internet wifi stopped working for about 3 days.We persistently told the reception desk ever morning. Although they were very helpful and friendly, nothing got fixed until we told the evening reception desk team who were much more efficient.

3. We had some teas bought up to the room and having charged 12R$ for two cups. We were dismayed to only have enough hot water to make a cup and a half. I don't think that the hotel were used to serving foreigners tea.

4. Breakfast coffee!!!!!!! Every day of the two week stay we had to ask for coffee or wait the 20 minutes they take to serve it!! Most hotels 5 star or not, will bring you coffee as soon as you sit down. The lady who serves coffee is sleeping!

No complaints though... Would definitely come back!
I'm sure there's no better in Vitoria, but the hotel is a step or two behind European 5 stars.

I have stayed at the Sheraton the last two times I was in Vitoria and love the hotel. The staff are all helpful and the breakfast buffet is one of the best I've had at a Brazilian hotel. The hotel is well situated, near many of the better restaurants in Vittoria, as well as a shopping center and several beaches. The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. Everything works in the rooms. The only thing missing was a space to eat on the occasion that we ordered room service. A small table and a couple of chairs would have been nice. Other than that, near perfection. Thank you Sheraton

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor for the best views.

The hotel is well positioned for a leisure traveller. Close to clean beach with lifeguards and on main bus routes. The local 'in' area is a 2 minute taxi drive with a selection of good eateries. The only disappointment was that there was no hot water in the morning for our 3 day stay! No helpful assistance from staff. Breakfast is exceptional with choices for all tastes! I wouldn't say it's 5 star but more like 3 to 4 comparing to South Africa. I'd recommend the hotel!

The Sheraton Vitoria was a very nice surprise. Not your common Brasilian shabby 5 Stars hotel.
The room was spacious, modern, very clean and well designed. Furniture made of good quality wood that is nice to teh eye and has a good feeling.

Best of all was the view -- a panorama of the ocean!!
Note: ALL rooms at this hotel are facing the ocean, so you are guaranteed to get Ocean View.
The roof top gym and pool are fabulous too with - oh that view!

Only minus -- the exceptionally slow inefficient reception, and I mean slooooooooow..

Room Tip: The higher the floor the better the view, naturally.

Couple of days stay were enough to recognize good service and quality. Extremely helpful and kind staff at reception, room service and restaurant. Property has been renewed since acquired by Sheraton (used to be Radisson), elevators are quite fast and 4 tubes, excellent when crowded. Rooms are quite large with fantastic view and very clean. Had a problem with hot water in the shower but was immediately resolved however the recovery time for hot water is not really the best. Reataurant service was average and could be improved although the breakfast is quite generous and has many options. I was also pleased by the fact of having a very fast check in and check out, which is a luxury in Brazil.

Room Tip: Low or high is the same rooms are very well noise insulated

The hotel have prices that varies according the day you book the room. I got a room half the price because I looked over on the next day. The overall hotel experience is good. I had two meals and in the 2nd one, the rice and potatoes were not well cooked, making me complain to the maitre. Hotel is in a nice vincinity, one minute from the beach and probably 5 minutes walking to a close mall. Easy to get out and in. I plan to stay there again. The amenities in the room though, are far less than the other Sheraton hotels I stayed in.

Room Tip: All rooms are beach front, so you can't miss the view.

I've recently stayed at the Sheraton Victoria. The hotel is fairly new and newly incorporated at the Sheraton Network.
the staff on general is courteous but very unprepared for Sheraton standards. I asked some questions about the standard Sheraton and the responses showed very unprepared employees. The rooms are nice, modern, following the line of the network. The breakfast is reasonable, but the waiters are terrible.
The rooftop pool is very small, there is also a small sauna and the gym is very good.
I had a problem with my room and I needed to exchange it. I was very poorly attended by the head of reception. The problem was only moderately contoured with the intervention of the General Manager, but the day after, when I was checking out I was completely ignored by the head of reception, that instead of acting professionally, left me waiting in the queue, like I was not there, demonstrating a very low professionalism.
