“Simply outstanding dinner with friends.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

First, there is free parking behind the restaurant, and as this is a downtown restaurant, this is helpful as the PAC is adjacent so you can have dinner and then walk to the theater. We started with Bruschetta and Asian Shrimp, both were very good. I had the Alaskan Halibut and it was the best I've ever had. Presentation was superb as well. Spouse had the tenderloin and loved it. Other lady had Chicken Marlala which she gave high marks. Spouses had creme brulee which they siad was the second best they've had. I had the blackberry sour creme cheesecake and it was super. Prices are high for the area.

“Beef carpaccio was simple and tasty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

Really enjoyed the arugula, capers, and red onion served with balsamic vinegar. Warm toast made it extra special! Clifford Bay Sauv. Blanc was my favorite from the wine flight. Enjoyed talking with the bartenders and listening to the locals' lively banter. Will definitely return if I ever get back to Appleton.

“Great food and drinks!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

We stopped in here for an appetizer and a glass of wine and it was excellent! They have something called the "wine flight" which is trying three different glasses of wine so you can see which one you like the best. I think it was $10.00.

You can then go next door if you want and buy the wine that you like. Some of the wines were expensive but most were reasonable for an upscale restaurant. Lots of choices for cocktails besides wine. The fruit and cheese appetizer was very good. It was filling for an appetizer so I didn't order a meal.
Service was prompt and friendly. Owner was onsite to make sure things were running smoothly. A great place to stop in for a great glass of wine.

“Not What It Used To Be”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

We have been to this restaurant about 3 times. The first time was so wonderful. The second time didn't seem as memorable as the first and this last time.....we won't be back. On a Friday night there was only maybe 2 other tables full. Service was slow and apathetic. Had to ask for water refills and the waitress seemed to want to clock out as she continuously stared at us from the bar while remarking to her friends sitting at the bar. This was at 7:30 at night! The seafood gumbo was promised to have crab, shrimp and andouille sausage. Nope to all three. No seafood at all and stringy cut of beef rather than andouille. Steaks just okay. Mine was ordered medium well and it was very well done. Just too expensive for this level of food/service. Try Carmella's in Appleton for same price point with much better food and service.

“Down Hill Slide”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013 via mobile

The wine selection was good and the waitress was helpful but the steaks were poor. While the cut was on the menu as "prime" but was perhaps choice and that would generous.

We are not planning on coming back.
