My daughter and I stayed at this hotel last week. We wound up with a two room suite, as that was all they had left. Lovely rooms, gas burning fire place, flat screen tv in the living room area. Fabulous thick bath towels and Aveda (sp?) toiletries. Really nice. The breakfast was ok - pretty much standard hotel included breakfast. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi, but one note - it is in the bedroom - not in its own room!

The location is great, right in downtown, an easy walk to many restaurants, shops, bars, etc. and a bit farther walk to Lawrence University - but definitely walkable if you like walking.

Parking is in a garage almost next door; note that you pay as you ENTER and it is $1. Not a bad deal at all, just be sure you have your dollar handy. Seemed to be a very safe area.

Only one note - it was very, very windy while we were there, and once the wind started something on the roof (the suite is top floor) sticks down into the room walls and creaks......pretty weird! Kind of like being on a boat creaking.....Once we figured it out we didn't let it bother us; certainly nothing the hotel could do about it. It just startled us when it started in the middle of the night....ghosts......

I would definitely stay here again if I came to Appleton again.

This hotel is an absolute gem. The rooms are beautifully appointed, very nice bathrooms with great amenities, comfortable beds with lovely linens. Rooms are very nice size. Minibar has all the essential items at BARGAIN prices. Very good breakfast is complimentary, nice restaurant and bar in the hotel, and the spa in the basement is an added treat. They do absolutely everything right here. You couldn't ask for more.

What is not to love about this hotel. The location is perfect in downtown Appleton and you can walk to dozens of restaurants and shops. The hotel has a quaint restaurant inside, super spa and a nice bar. We stayed in room 308, which is a suite. I loved the room and really did not want to leave it. The whirltub is actually a tub big enough for two adults and the room is just lovely. The bed is very comfortable with comfy linens! There is a plasma in the front room that is separate from the bedroom. You can have plenty of privacy if you are traveling with children. There are always fresh cookies at the front desk, helpful staff smiling at you and we had just a lovely time.
We will defintely stay at this hotel again if we are visiting Wisconsin.

My third visit, and I am pleased to report that the hotel has continued to maintain a high level of service. Rooms are very clean and diverse, with a wide variety of floorplans. Food in the breakfast buffet is the same every day, and can get a bit dull on a longer visit. Parking next door can be frustrating, unless you have correct change or fresh dollar bills, but the location is fabulous. Excellent restaurants up and down the street. Our best choice in Appleton.
