“great photo spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

I think it's a must that any tourist in Salvador comes here for a photo op. Unfortunately, it was raining when I visited it, but I'm still glad to have visited and gotten pictures.

“cool statues”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

It is i believe an artificial lake, you could miss driving fast as turning back is a big roundabout due to the traffic...the sculptures of Baianas from Baia, the statues of Orixas is beautiful and you can then read about the "Candomble" the form of worship which incorporates the African rituals from their the countries of their origin, Nice for a stroll around the lake, a good parking lot too. Too much moving traffic.

“The sculptures by Tatti Moreno are lovely”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

The sculptures are well-cared for, and a stroll around the Dique on a weekend afternoon is a nice way to pass some time.

“Baianas”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

It's a lake with some sculptures of "Baianas", the tipical women from Bahia. Nice place, but it's in the middle of several high-traffic streets.

“Yoruba Religion”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2012

Salvador is the root of Yoruba religion outside of Africa. The eight statues of the Orixás (deities) is beautiful. The park is lovely. The lake is lovely. Even if you do not understand the religion, it is worth a trip to appreciate the artistry.
