“Expensive and quality is so so ....”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

I was told that this was the best grill but what a disappointment!
I ordered picanha "medium done" but I was served overcooked.
Salad was not very fresh.
... and this restaurant is very, very expensive.

“Good Brazilian BBQ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013 via mobile

We visited on a Sunday night with only a few other guests so the staff was very attentive. Some of the meats were a bit too well done, likely since the crowd was small. Overall very good salad bar and meat selection.

“Outstanding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

The restaurant is very good. There is a huge variarity of food in the buffet and lots of kind of meat. The bbq is awesome and the waiters are very kind and provide a good service. But if you want to go there, go with no regrets of spending money.

“It is very expensive but good restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013 via mobile

It is a very nice restaurant, beautiful environment and the staff is really good, polite and friendly like everyone in Bahia. Food is good (nice and variety on the buffet of salads. Japanese with sushi and sashimi mostly) and you can eat salad, chicken, fish and Japanese if you dont eat red meat. However, if you go on a weekend you may find it very busy and then the quality of the meat goes down easily, it may come too dry or uncooked, or you may not get any of the good parts at all.
Service is nice, restrooms are great and always clean, smell good too. If you drop your knife or fork or anything, the waiter comes right the way to help you with that and give you another one. They are always smiling and making you feel comfortable. Desserts and liquors are great, but again, everything is very expensive!

“Expensive, but good service and not too posh”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

Bahian people say the best two rodizio-style "churrascarias" are Boi Preto and Fogo no Chão. (Rodizio means all-you-can-eat and prepared for each customer -- in the case of churrasco, meat-cutters come around with different kinds of grilled meat on skewers to your table and cut a slice on the spot.) We went for a sunday lunch at around 3pm. The place was full, but they gave us a waiting number and we were seated in less than 10 minutes. I was expecting a much more stuffy, posh atmosphere, but Boi Preto turned out to be a good restaurant with quite a relaxed atmosphere -- you don't need to dress up.
The food is certainly good. There is a varied buffet with mostly whatever you might want to eat -- from salads, paella, shrimps, smoked salmon, prosciutto, feijoada, to salmon sushi, strawberry/mango sushi, cheese, etc. At the table, I counted up to 16 kinds of meat, and surely there were more. I found that Brazilian people don't really concentrate on the meat alone. They come here to eat whatever they want -- some people were eating more sushi than meat.
All is good (and the air-conditioning is not too cold), but it surely isn't cheap. Rodizio per person, about R$90 plus 10% service charge, making it come up to about R$100 per person minimum. Waiters are attentive (in a good way) and keep on serving you beers until you tell them to stop! Half- size bottles of wine from around R$40. Coffee and dessert not included.
