I stayed at the Tropical Business Manaus for one night prior to travelling to the Ariau Resort upriver and one night upon my return to Manaus. I did not know that the accommodation cost included airport transfers, so I paid $R49 for a 10-minute taxi trip at midnight from the airport (the GOL flight from Brasilia was delayed for several hours).. I used the transfer facility on my way out of town. My room at the hotel was superb and overlooked the Rio Negro. Not all rooms have a direct river view, so it should be specifically requested at check-in. An expansive buffet breakfast is included in the tariff, but I found the dinner buffet to be quite expensive. The poolside area is excellent, as are the service and friendliness of the staff. There are some excellent though pricey shops on the premises. The hotel is a long way from downtown Manaus, which can lead to several expensive taxi rides of $R30-$R45.Overall I would recommend the hotel and be willing to stay there again.
